Very disappointed. I visited Crave once before and wanted to give it a shot again today. I walked in and the gal didn’t come out from the back, so I was finally greeted by I am assuming the owner. He said she would be right with me, and then went back outside. When he came back in, he asked if I still had not been taken care of, so he went ahead and took my initial order. When she came out to bring it to me, she didn’t apologize for keeping me waiting or any type of friendly remarks.
I took a few bites of the guacamole and salsa, and clearly wasn’t enjoying it, as I pushed it to the side. They both passed me and saw several times that I was not eating, but neither one of them asked me how it was or anything of the sort. I finally asked her for my check and said that unfortunately, the guac was way too acidic and I wouldn’t be able to eat it. Instead of apologizing/trying to make it right, she said “well, most people really like it “and proceeded to charge me the full amount. I asked her if she was really going to charge me for something that I clearly wasn’t able to eat, and she rolled her eyes at me and took it off of the check.
Neither one of them apologized or tried to make it right. Instead, they made it very uncomfortable and I wasn’t about to feel comfortable ordering a main dish to-go, like I had originally planned.
I know this is a small business who’s trying to be successful, but treating your customers like this certainly won’t help your...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place since the photos looked great. We walked in and it was empty (and I noted to my partner that it was having an identity crisis decor-wise) but thought we would give it a chance. The food sounded good but when it arrived (alarmingly fast - cant cook Tri-tip in 5 min) - it tasted old. I am assuming everything was premade or microwaved and after seeing the item we realized the meal was extremely over priced for what we received, size and more-so quality. It was kind of like leftover Q’doba. We paid organic prices for canned food. My partner said the meat tasted sour😞 & consisted of terrible ingredients, grey colored meat that was all covered up with some canned salsa.
The bean and butternut squash taco was just a can of mushed beans out of can with a few chunks of butternut squash and I felt like my drunk roommate was making me a midnight snack out of the three ingredients we could find in our cupboard.
After our food came out the one guy working disappeared into the back. So we left our food uneaten and drove over to an organic juice bar across the street which was less expensive! $12 for an all organic fresh bowl.
Sorry this review is so brutal but we really felt kind of like it...
Read moreWow....very social owners who are proud of their space. I tried food I would have never ordered unless it was offered just to try. Their blueberry salsa? 🤯 I was blown away. Have to give it my highest grade for food creativity..NFA. No F#(king Around! The ingredients, spices and flavors were nothing less than a symphony on the tongue. Even my 2 year old devoured this concoction.
The Tri-tip could have been more of a prime cut flavor however, no lost points due to the fact that it's even more costly to buy high end.
Portions you ask? There were 2 tacos for $15...they were huge! If the same thing was served at a food truck, you would have had 4 smaller tacos at the same weight value for $20 bucks. Overall, whomever invented the flavor combinations should be awarded Taste Bud Stud of the Year!! (I just invented that...
