Oh my, as a long-time local, I am not sure what rock I have been hiding under because Nancy P's is one of Bend's hidden gems! Wonderful selection for everyone. The Veggie Fritada (also gluten-free) made fresh every morning is my favorite, alongside it sits a perfectly flakey and crisp crust quiche. The assortment of breakfast pockets is vast and again always fresh, with combinations of egg, cheese, ham, or bacon. Sticky and usually still warm are the cinnamon rolls next to the various croissants ranging from sweet to savory. In the next case over are decadent pastries and sweets. The strawberry rhubarb bars are just exquisite. Other offerings include several bars like lemon, lime and chocolate, macaroons, cupcakes, oh, and have I mentioned they have Pies too! The coffee is good too! And that's just the cases. If you look up from here, they have a good-sized lunch menu as well with sandwiches, salads, and soups! Another reason I love this place is the service... You walk up to the counter, request what you'd like, pay for your food and almost don't have to wait the majority of the time making it a great stop for a quick grab and go if you need to shuffle off to the office or eat in the car. Although the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, as are the patrons , so maybe slow down, relax, and pull up a seat and remember why we live in...
Read moreI'm a local real estate professional, and I love treating my clients to lunch from Nancy P's whenever we can. Katy and her amazing staff prepare delicious menu items fresh daily, my clients are always thrilled to look at the menu and let me know what sounds good to them. I call ahead to have it ready for pick up if we will be eating it during a home inspection and Katy always makes sure it is packed up with utensils, napkins and anything else we need to make the whole experience epic. Nancy P's is a local's choice and I love sharing that intel with my clients who are new to the area. On this day, my client Roan was sampling their homemade bagel and he said it was by FAR the best bagel he has had in town. That says a lot because Roan happens to be the owner of a VERY popular bagel bakery in Seattle. It is so popular and successful, he gets to live in Bend and manage that business from afar so I think his "review" of the baked goods at Nancy P's is worth a lot. Go try it for yourself and experience the quality of the food, as well as the inviting, warm vibe they offer in this sweet...
Read moreI was a regular customer and lover of Nancy Ps until today. Instead of posting a sign or politely asking folks to limit their computer time in the shop, an employee (owner?) passive aggressively insinuated my friend and I were mooching off of their Wi-Fi and put pressure on to leave the shop. Mind you- we had both paid for multiple drinks and pastries and were intending to go back for more. Folks use their computers in the bakery regularly, there is nothing to insinuate that this shouldn’t be done. Surely there are better ways to address computer use than passive aggressive remarks and making customers feel so uncomfortable that they leave. In favor of profit, Nancy Ps exhibits poor customer service and regard for their regular customers. I’m disappointed and had hoped for better from Nancy Ps.
After reading other poor reviews from this establishment I am shocked by the unprofessional and rude responses from the owner. One response telling a customer to “get a clue” and calling their review “LAUGHABLE.” I highly recommend reading the owners responses to reviews. Frankly,...
