SUPER cute place with Amazing Gnocchi Bolognese which is what both my wife and I had on our little anniversary lunch together. We also shared a Caprese salad which was just greens, fresh slices of mozzarella, incredible sundried cherry tomatoes and pesto. I'm told by an acquaintance that the Gnocchi and tomato sauce is also amazing and "the best they've ever had." They have lasagna on the menu and a couple other things I cant remember. We shared a tiramisu for dessert which was so good I wish we had each gotten our own lol ;) lastly the people running the place were SUPER nice, friendly and inviting. We will 100% definitely go back to try their other dishes although, that Gnocchi was pretty dang good and it's hard to find good Gnocchi. I guess it's worthwhile to mention how the ordering works: You walk into the front (which is the rear of the beautiful Victorian(?) style house where you park) and place your order, there are also lots of imported Italian food items that they sell which we only browsed for a minute. Then you go outside to their beautiful seating area which includes a table in a cute gazebo or plenty of tables with umbrellas and they will either bring your food to your table if you plan to eat there or they will call your name for your take away order. I can't say enough good things about our this place, and can't wait to go back soon!

I love downtown Benicia and never knew about this hidden gem! It is a B&B but the cafe is open for all. There is so many different seating options the large windows with the natural light peering in makes the atmosphere feel fresh and summery. As a vegetarian my options can be limited but the chef was happy to customize the breakfast plate and substitute the bacon for avocado. The eggs, potatoes, toast, and avocado made for such a delicious breakfast! The highlight for me was definitely the iced lavender coffee. Our waiter, Toby, was so friendly and took the time to share that the lavender used for the coffee is fresh lavender from their garden! He also shared that the produce used it fresh from the Benicia farmers market! My boyfriend got the Cafe Burger and substituted the salad for potatoes. He got it medium rare and said it had a nice crunchy exterior. Bf’s words: “tastes homemade” which it is! They also have jazz nights on Friday’s. There is also local art for sale on the walls, love that. Definitely recommend stopping by for brunch!

Refreshing and romantic experience! Traditional Italian Bistro attached to a cozy B&B. Gorgeous outdoor seating with iconic yellow umbrellas. If you enter from D St., walk thru the inn and make a right at the bathroom to enter the cafe. Place your order at the front register! Menu is an all day affair so you can get a croissant or lasagna anytime. Sonia was super helpful and explained all the food to us. We ordered a cornetta with egg and pesto, the small cannolis, and the smoked salmon with burrata (creamier than mozzarella, and frankly better). Coffee is served Italian style (small and creamy). I fear for my lactose intolerance but overall this was a fun and refreshing meal that felt like an immersive experience. Highly recommend for dates or impressing your parents.

We showed up Sunday morning with a group of six adults and one baby. We tried a variety of the amazing offerings, three had the steak and eggs special of the day, and the other three adults had the breakfast plate, one had the classic omelette, and one had the breakfast sandwich. All six of us cleaned our plates and loved the food. As is often the case, the steak wasn't exactly steakhouse quality, but it was perfectly cooked and tasty if not particularly tender. One of us even took a quiche to go because she loved the food and wanted to try the quiche, but simply didn't have enough room after her breakfast. The coffee was great and the bottled coke was also a nice surprise. The atmosphere was very charming and, dare I say, European cafe reminiscent. We ate inside, in the front room, at the large table that fit our entire party comfortably. The table itself was a bit wobbly, but that could be easily remedied by a competent handyman. That front room was a little bit stuffy by the end of our meal, but there is also an area near the cash register and bakery case, and a huge outdoor patio as alternate options. Lastly, both the owner/chef and manager were very friendly and...
