Unpleasantly Surprised

Preface: This cornerstone restaurant nestled in Bentonville houses a buzzing restaurant with pricey food and an extensive drink list. Even though it is a staple in the neighborhood, I was disappointed in both the food and service execution.

Food: I ordered Duck Rillette, Beef Tartare, and the Sobermesa cocktail. The duck rilette was something new i hadn't had and was interesting, with the cocktail being strong yet refreshing. The beef tartare, however, was over salted. With my dish average being about $15, it wasn't the worst value, but it was unfortunate that the food wasn't mind-blowing.

Service: The servers there were nice and hard working. However, the execution of service was poor as I was given the wrong drink, and the server who took my order rang in the incorrect food item, which resulted in long lead times for my food. They worked quickly to rectify it, but I expect more from a cornerstone restaurant.

Atmosphere: Clean, warm, and inviting

Overall: I don't believe that I will be returning here as the value provided did not outweigh the cost during my visit. It was still pleasant to see, and I can see how it can be an enjoyable experience.I just feel that I can get a better experience elsewhere for the...

Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere! When you first walk in, you’re immediately met with friendly staff. The decor is fresh and relaxing. My first glass of wine was a French Cabernet and was exceptional. Our appetizers were beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Oysters, caviar, and spicy peanuts mixed with the entire charcuterie menu questioned anything I’ve ever had before. Wow. There were items I had never tried that have now become my favorite. When our main plates were served (with the most beautiful display of food I’ve ever seen), I couldn’t wait to try the six day wagyu brisket first. Literally, it melt in my mouth. I have no idea how Chef and his team create something like this. Indescribable. It goes without question the potato gnocchi, tarte flambée and roasted bone marrow were something that you can only experience here. Wow. Wow. Wow. The rest of my table shared other numerous things offered on the menu, along with drinks, and had the greatest experience with our knowledgeable staff and I can honestly say... I can’t believe we have something like this in Bentonville. Major compliments to the owners, chef, staff, and all that brought this amazing restaurant here....

Our evening began with impeccably crafted charcuteries that showcased the chef's dedication to quality and flavor. Each bite of the arugula salad, adorned with perfectly seasoned vinaigrette and Parmigiano Reggiano, spoke volumes of the kitchen's attention to detail.

The chicken croquettes served as a delightful Amuse-bouche, setting a playful tone for the meal ahead. However, it was the standout dishes that truly captivated our senses—the rich summer squash ragout, elevated by a perfectly poached egg that added just the right touch of richness, and the bone marrow paired with grilled sourdough, a harmonious marriage of textures and flavors.

Service at Bar Cleeta was nothing short of exemplary—friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Each interaction felt personalized, enhancing our dining experience and leaving us feeling well-cared-for throughout the evening.

In conclusion, Bar Cleeta is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination where culinary artistry meets warm hospitality. From start to finish, every aspect of our visit was a testament to their commitment to excellence. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in...

Wow! Incredible food, hospitality, and vibe. A friend who used to be the Executive Chef at Crystal Bridges said Cleeta was a must and he wasn’t wrong! The Green Goddess Salad is a show-stopper and great to share amongst 2-3 people. The tarragon in the dressing really elevates this dish. Oysters – Solid choice. I did half east and half west coast. Chicken Croquettes… excellent starter and comes with 2, so order more if you’re with a larger party. Everyone deserves to sample this. Pozole Verde Campanelle – Lovely pasta dish. I’m a sucker for anything with Manchego. Six Day Wagyu Brisket – This dish was delicious, but not our favorite. Not because anything was bad, but the other dishes seemed to outshine this one. Next time I’ll go for the Grilled Quail or Pastrami Lamb Ribs. Overall, highly recommend Bar Cleeta. Staff was incredible, attentive and knowledgeable. Go hungry and with a group. Order as many items as possible. 😂 Be sure to make a reservation by emailing them. Do this several days ahead to allow for the email correspondence. Note that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
