I grew up in the greater Philadelphia area. Heard you all have cheese steaks and hoagies that can be compared to the ones back home. I am super critical normally in my star ratings and definitely in my written evaluation. Especially when it comes to cheese steaks and Italian hoagies. With that said. If I was in Pennsylvania I would give them a 3 stars for the cheese steaks and a 4 stars for the Italian I got. Ordered both. Overall a 4 star rating because the shop was nice and the people were even nicer. Great atmosphere. The reality is we are not in PA. The Italian was delicious! It's the best I have had outside of The greater Philadelphia area. I'm retired military and have been all over the US. I asked for an Italian "all sweet" they didn't really know what I was asking but they had sweet peppers. It was superb. I think the only thing missing was some Italian seasoning and some black pepper. I only ate half of each and I added seasoning and pepper the next day. Pretty good. Roll was a little hard but still good after being refrigerated for a day.
The cheese steak was very good. If I want something like home this will be the only place I will go. Roll was good, cheese great. The steak was a little thicker than back home and I think it could have used a little more seasoning.. season salt maybe?? Not sure. Over all I was very pleased with it. While it's not the best I've had it's the best I had here.
So I think a three star rating is an average good rating, meaning not bad in a pinch but not necessarily my first or second choice. 4 is a solid choice if you're looking for what they offer. 5 is, I will drive out of my way to go get the meal. I live in Prairie Grove AR. I will be driving to Rogers just to get another one of these sandwiches. That is why I rated them a 5. Please don't misinterprete my criticism as a negative. I highly recommend this place. Best sandwich shop I have had here in AR. Again as a Philly guy I'm super critical of these two particular sandwiches. It's good and worth your hard...
Read moreBeen here twice now, the first time I got the Wagyu Cheesesteak, Original Bobby and the Grilled Italian. The Wagyu Cheesesteak was good but not my favorite meat and the other two were great sandwiches.
I decided to return and try the regular cheesesteak, hot bobby and reorder the grilled Italian. This time was not so smooth. I put the order in at 12:14 and was advised the order would be ready at 1230. I arrive to the store and wait in line, I reach the register at 1230 and tell them I've arrived for my order. It wasn't yet ready and I was asked to move to the side to wait, no problem. 5 minutes pass and still no order. At about the 10 minute mark I was again asked what I was there for, I again gave my name but this time I'm given a bag that has been sitting there since I came in the door.
At this point Im slightly frustrated but they're busy so I try to be understanding, but when I get my bag I'm missing a sandwich, I let the staff know and wait another minute or two before I get the correct number of sandwiches. Okay good, on my way home.
Once home I open the sandwiches to find the Bobby, has mayo- the printed and email receipt says no mayo. The grilled Italian meat was weird and different from the first time I ordered it. So now I believe the last time I ordered the Grilled Italian I only received the regular Italian, first time eating there how was I to know? And the cheese steak was barely filled and cold as stone.
Long story short, you may get a good sandwich, you may not but for the best shot avoid going...
Read moreI was in Bentonville for the first time ever yesterday and when looking for a neat local place to grab a quick bite, I came across Capriotti‘s. It looked really good so I went in and got a couple of sandwiches for my boyfriend and I. Since we live kind of far away and this is not a place we can visit regularly I splurged a bit and loaded up. I got him an 18 inch Bobby (originally planning on taking half and giving it to my dad to try as well) and I got myself a 10 inch French dip. The whole ride home my car smelled absolutely delicious and all I could think about was that first bite. When I was finally back my bf took one bite of his Bobby and declared that my dad was just going to have to wait until I visited again and got him his own sandwich. For my sandwich, well I am a French dip fanatic. If I go somewhere and they have a French dip on their menu 99.9% of the time that is what I am going to get. And I have to say, this French dip was the best French dip I have ever had. Period. And to me, it’s because it has the most delicious, savory, flavorful au jus that I have ever tasted. I am going to be dreaming about this au jus until the next time I can visit and grab another French dip. This is the best sandiwch I’ve eaten all year and honestly idk if I’m gonna find something that tops it until I go back to Capriotti’s. This place alone is for sure worth a return trip to...
