Halloween night, 2-days ago. We went to the BHS 9th grade football game in Springdale. Immediately after, we had to rush back to Bentonville to pick up our son at BHS.
Immediately after that, we had to drop 2 of our sons off at Halloween parties. We then took our 2 younger kids trick-or-treating near downtown Bentonville.
We picked our sons up from their parties arounf 9pm. We were all starving and hadn't eaten anything all Halloween night (except a few pieces of candy).
We showed up to this Sonic around 9:35 and immediately placed a food order for our entire family. We even asked the guy taking our order if it was too late to place one.
After placing the order, I paid for it, and we waited in our van...and we waited...and we waited...and we waited!
We watched car after car come and go through the drive-thru. We just thought our order may be large and needed more time.
10pm rolls around, and this Sonic turns their outside lights off. The last car passes through the drive-thru, then the female carhop delivers the last meal.
We then watch 3-4 employees turn off more lights. Knowing they just closed, I walked up to the drive-thru and knocked on the window.
An employee opened it up, and I asked him about our order, letting him know we had been waiting for 30-minutes.
The employees response..."oh, we thought we got that order out."
They seemed lost at what to do next. I was pretty annoyed, but all I asked in return was for the employee to refund my money. He said he would!
Well...as of last night, Sonic fully charged my card.
After a busy and tiring Halloween night, I can't tell you how disappointed we were to waste 30 plus minutes at a Sonic that took our money but couldn't remember to make our order.
Good thing Dominos was still open and was able to meet our...
Read moreI've lived in the Bentonville area over 20 years. I've learned my sonic order in this time. I have also learned which Sonics can get my personal order correct a majority of the time. I was thinking I shouldnt leave a review until i realized this is at least the 10th time this has happened in those years, and just how in DEPTH I go every time to ask simply for cherries, knowing this specfic location NEVER gives me them. I say every time without failure, "I'm going to order two drinks with cherries. Not the cherry flavor, but I am talking about real fruit cherries. Would you PLEASE add as many cherries as you feel you can in to the cherry limeade? My daughter loves them so much she steals mine, so please add extra cherries into MY Cherry Dr.Pepper as well" EVERY TIME they never fail to give me 0 cherries in my cherry dr pepper, today they did manage to get 1 whole cherry into the limeade. I hate that I feel so obligated to tip no matter where I go because I have wanted to take it back only from this place every single time. My order is simple. I do not care for the food at Sonic, I love me and my daughters specific drink. I will remember to avoid this sonic for the rest of my...
Read moreOf all the Sonics I have visited from Mineola, Tx to Houston, Dallas, Mckinney, there are two that stand out. Mineola is my number 1 choice and the one in McKinney on Custer Rd just past Virginia by Home Depot is my 2nd best. Both stores have great customer service, quality food, and clean outside appearance. My only downfall for Sonic is that I do tip and normally tip well. But a tip is an OFFER by the consumer to the staff member for taking care of them, not a "I don't have to offer you your change back you owe it to me." Because in actuality I don't. An example I bought a drink during happy hour what a buck and 7 cents handed the staff member a 5 and they said thanks and walked off no offer for my change. I politely said excuse me my change and her response was "oh. I'm bad." Which I still have her a 1 dollar tip for a 1 dollar drink. Teach your employees to always offer the consumer their change and to tell them how much they should receive, and most of the time they will get...
