Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Berea

We are (were) frequent customers of this location, and while there have been some mixed up orders over the years it was nothing that wasn't fixed or handled. Tonight, however, was a different matter.

We placed an order for a large pizza, 1 order of wings and a cinnamon square. We made the order through the website, and it said a delivery time of 51 minutes. Long, but not a problem. When an hour and 20 minutes went by I called to ask where the order was. I was told the driver had 4 stops, we'd be the last and would be there shortly.

When the food did arrive, over an hour and a half from when we ordered, the driver said we were first of his 4 orders. The driver told us we were FIRST to be delivered too. Not only was it over 30 minutes late, it was also COLD. Not "somewhat warm," not "lukewarm" it was COLD.

When i called, again, to tell them I was less than happy getting food far later than we were told, lied to about the order we were in and getting it cold to boot, the gentleman on the line could not have cared less, said "ok thanks" and hung up.

I understand if you're busy, or if are short on people, whatever the case. These things happen. But, if an order is going to take that much longer to deliver then the customer was told, picking up the phone and telling us would help. Lying to us about the order, having the food arrive cold and needing us to heat it up in the oven (adding time until we eat) then callously hanging up on us makes it very clear our repeated business is no longer wanted.

Its not like there aren't a dozen pizza shops in the area we can go to. We always chose to go to Marco's. We will now always choose to go elsewhere.

response to owner: I've already left specific details in this review, and had already made 2 calls about the issue right after the food was delivered, and your manager made it VERY clear he did not care. You've already had multiple chances to address this and...

I order from this place frequently. It’s one of the only pizza places that do half-pizza sauce and half no sauce. As a busy mom of three we order from this place at minimum three times a month but on really busy months 4-5.

I know that’s not good, but moving on I was always able to get a big square deal delivered. It was around $12. The big square deal went up a little bit and that was OK I understand. The delivery charge went up, and again I understand but the changes kept coming. Sometimes our pizza is late but as long as it comes hot, again no big deal a lot of people have been understaffed and they’re just trying to do the best.

What’s not ok is making as constant changes expecting to keep all of your loyal customers, and then not be a little bit flexible for them in return!! I cannot get my food delivered without the subtotal being over $10 even if it’s $.89!! Even though the delivery fee is $4 and puts my total well over $10 to around $13-14. They won’t do it I have to order a few sauce cups or an expensive 2 liter.

I even tried explaining that my budget is around $20 and I want to be able to get five or six dollars to the delivery driver but they don’t care which sucks because their delivery drivers are amazing!

So I stopped ordering as much and have come down to 1...

Every single time I order from this marcos I ask for extra garlic sauce cups and they don't bring me any. This order I ordered garlic bread and 2 pizzas with 5 extra cups of garlic sauce, usually a garlic sauce comes with the cheesy bread but this marcos took the sauce out of the cheesy bread and didn't give me a single one. The past 4 times I've ordered from there they have given me none and I've had to drive up there after getting my delivery and come home to a cold pizza because they don't know how to put sauce in the box or check orders before they leave the store. Terrible employees and service every single time! ( I wrote everything before this 10 months ago....
