Hunan Express — Restaurant in Bergenfield

I had tried this place years ago, but hadn't tried again until recently. I live in Englewood on the border of Tenafly and one of our favorite places is now closed on Sundays (which is when we usually order). I decided to try this place again and I am happy we did! We've had their shrimp rolls, pork egg rolls, pork fried rice (no peas....I'm not sure if it comes with peas, but I always ask for none anyway), chicken wings, pork spare ribs, boneless spare ribs, General Tsos Chicken and homemade tea. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the pork spare ribs. Sauce was good, but slightly overdone and a little fatty. Everything else was awesome! Delivery is always no longer than a half hour and always is delivered with a smile (despite wearing a face mask). It's pretty neat that they have a drive thru window to pick up orders. Super convenient if you're disabled, have kids or pets with you, or the weather is bad. $2 delivery fee to order through their...

This is Avikam. I just came from it back home. The thing I did not like is the lady at the restaurant was rude. First of all I spent like 24 dollars for two dishes. So she asked if I like guava candy but when I was taking she was saying too much. And I was taking too much. If I was in some other place like a American restaurant the people won't be rude because they know about customer service. The people in this restaurant can learn much more about customer service where they are not rude if someone takes a lot of candy especially if they paid 24 dollars. But even if I did not pay 24 dollars it is still rude as it is not a perfectly pleasant experience doing business with this restaurant...

Had food from this place and it made me violently ill. I can’t remember the last time I got food poisoning that bad. Service was fast and friendly but I won’t be back due to the food making me super sick. I know they market that pick up/drive thru window as convenient, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s a tactic to keep people from actually coming into the restaurant that must not be clean and hygienic.
