I was on a burger mission after a friend of mine went to a burger spot and had a sexy pic of his burger that he texted me last week lol. My son was like he wanted a great burger and I took it as a challenge. I found this place on Yelp just searching last week and decided to bookmark it. Today was the day I decided to give it a shot. This place is in a simple location in Bergenfield NJ. We walked in and their were all empty seats (Probably because of the bad rain outside). We were greeted by a sweet young lady who said we could sit anywhere in the place. First off if you are big Rock N Roll person then you must come here because that is the theme in this burger joint. My son and I were captivated by some of the pictures and how the place was set up. You had rock band pics everywhere and guitars hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. Pictures of a bunch of legends from Kiss to Bob Marley, Beatles and list goes on and on. I loved it very different and unique. I had to turn into a music historian explaining who some of these people were to my 13 year old son lol smh. Our waitress gave us the menu and the names of the burgers were cool and hilarious. I didn't know what to get with all the options. Our waitress was super cool and extremely helpful with recommendations and answered all our questions.
We started with the drinks my son got a Sprite which he always gets. The waitress asked me if I liked half and half and I said yes love it and recommended this drink called "Twisted Sister" the name alone had me sold lol. It was huge and bursting with Flavor easily the best half and half drink I ever had by far. Tasted freshly made which she said it was and you can tell in the taste and presentation.
My son ordered the a regular Cheeseburger combo just cheese and Its looked sooo sexy he didn't even want to eat and ruin the perfection lol. The fries seasoned to perfection with the perfect crunch and taste. He finished his burger in almost record time (He normally eats pretty slow) The waitress asked my son if he liked honey mustard which he does and she brought this special honey mustard sauce they have and it was also amazing.
I ordered "The Stevie" Turkey Patty (Substitute For Beef), Pineapples, Teriyaki Sauce, American White Cheese With Lettuce" it was Huge and full of flavor every bite. The fries like my sons were seasoned to perfection. Making a turkey burger succulent is very hard and this guy did it perfect. Rony "The man the myth the legend" is a beast on the grill. I am a believer lol
Overall when you consider Customer service, Value of product vs cost/portion, and overall satisfaction this place checked off in all categories for me. I felt at home as soon as we stepped through the door and I still tasting my burger in my mind lol. If you are in Bergenfield you must stop by to try Rony's burger mastery. I would do dessert but the burgers are so huge with fries you are too stuffed for Sweets lol. Definitely a great find thanks Yelp for helping me find this...
Read moreThis is a great locally owned restaurant in Bergenfield! Great food, great music and great theme! Awesome classic rock & roll theme with real guitars, albums, records, photos, signatures, and a ton more decorating every inch of this place from top to bottom!
Loved the music too.
The burger was yummy and cooked to perfection. It had a super tasty fresh soft roll for the bun! The fries looked different, but they were also very delicious! The portions and prices were just right!
The drink selection is good. If you get a soda, its just in a can. But if you get an iced tea, it comes in a huge mason jar! The iced tea however is unsweetened.
My suggestion to the awesome owner of this place is to offer a sweet version of this tea using grenadine syrup. Just a nice splash of grenadine syrup would really give this iced tea a great punch!
Speaking of the owner.. he is super friendly amd greats every customer as they walk in the door and checks in to make sure your meal is done to your liking. That is excellent service!
As i was eating my burger, i saw several repeat customers walk in who greeted the owner Rony and introduced him to family members they were bringing in for the first time. So when you see people comming back to a restaurant again and again and then start brining friends and relatives, you know the place is something special with great food!
Parking is a bit crazy depending on the time and day. But thats the fault of the town architects that created such a narrow main street with little area given to parking, and no fault to the owner Rony. There are several free parking lots not too far away if the on street parking is full.
Pros: Yummy food Awesome rock & roll theme & decorations Awesome classic rock music Awesome owner & employees Good drink selection Good food selection, lots of choices Free parking Friendly owner & employees Fast service Good portions Good prices Lots of tables Outside tables too
Cons: None
Suggestion to the owner: Offer a sweet tea using grenadine syrup for the sweetener. That syrup mixes super fast into the tea, completely sweetens it better than sugar and adds a nice red...
Read moreI was looking for a good burger place, and came across this.
If you want a great juicy burger and especially fries, this is the place to go.
In talking about the food, know that EVERYTHING on the menu is named after a rock band or musician. I had "The Police", which was a burger with grilled onions, a mound of bacon, and pepper jack cheese, all between texas toast. By the end, I had a smear of grease which dripped down my hand, and intentionally, into the fries. And the fries.... soooo good! I opted to upgrade them to cajun fries.
Also, Pro Tip: get the house-made rockin' sauce. Think ranch dressing with with a kick. Made a great burger and excellent fries even better!
Back to the vibe. If you like rock, this place is for you. The walls, ceiling, counter, I didn't notice the floor, but I'm sure it was there, are all covered with rock memorabilia, including guitars, album covers, posters, guitars, paintings, etc. The music, when I was there, was Tool, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Puddle of Mudd, and Stone Temple Pilots.
It was great to have gone on a not so busy weekday lunchtime with the eponymous Rony there. Such a nice and warm-hearted person.
You might have to get street parking, and there's some in the area or on the nearby side streets. The single dining area can fit maybe 30-50 people.
Just don't go before bloodwork or a cardiologist appointment.
Go right...
