Wendy's — Restaurant in Bergenfield

I went to Wendys at this location at approximately 11pm at night. At the time there was a surprisingly long line and I waiting to happily order the Crabby Patty meal that I wanted to try so bad as a Spongebob fan. It was finally my turn to order and I did so with a smile. When I drove up to the window I was greeted normally, They told me my Price and waiting to receive cash or a debit or credit card. I gave them my debit card. They took it and asked me to back up. My skeptical self asked politely to get my car back first before I backed up in the drive through. They hesitantly agreed and gave me my card back. This was when I was met with disappointment. They had told me that my card (with a decent amount of funds) had declined. I knew that was weird so i said okay and handed them my American Express credit card. Again they had told me it wasn’t approved so I tried even my apple pay which also had a good amount of fund and the same thing happened. Another enployee comes and tells the woman holding my food hostage that the same issue was happening yesterday around the same time. The woman proceeded to instruct me to go to the bank and take out cash. I was furious. It is not my fault that you’re machine is not working and the food was already prepared and she was waving the bag in front of me like it was a trophy she would not let me win. I told the woman to consider just giving me the food since if I decided not to go to the bank and just leave, the food would have been thrown out. The woman told me that she can’t give me the food for free. I told her that if she won’t give it to me for free she’s going to give it to the trash. She quietly giggled and repeated to me that she was not going to give me the food unless i brought back cash. I’m not the type to write reviews. But that woman was absolutely horrible and had no idea what customer service looked like. Now i’m hungry, it’s late, and the trash is getting a free meal...

Tip for all patrons: CHECK THE ENTIRE ORDER, IN AND OUT, BEFORE YOU LEAVE DRIVE THRU OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Been going to this location since i was a kid. Today I was ripped off, felt like complete betrayal. I went through the drive thru window and picked up some breakfast sandwiches. A woman came to the window and told me they didnt have anymore of the type of bun for my sandwich and offered me alternatives. I was more than happy to compromise even though they didnt tell me that they had run out of something while I was ordering. Once i got home to enjoy the meal, I realized that one of the sandwiches was utterly FLAT, no thicker than an inch. I opened it and it was just the bun (and not even the bun I chose from the choice they gave me earlier)... Nothing in between. NOTHING. Not even any sauce. Has this place become a bunch of liars and swindlers? What became of honesty and customer service? The choice they gave me earlier was a farce. Why bother with customer service facade if they didnt have the decency to tell me the entire sandwich was not available? This event is leaving such a sour taste in my mouth. Might be a while before I even think about coming to this...

One of the best Wendy’s I have ever visited im originally from Florida im visiting my son and when I tell you the quickest and cleanest fast food restaurant I have ever been to customer service is excellent great job hiring your staff i appreciate it if your looking for a clean fast food environment this is the place . Another review while this Wendy’s looks clean i ordered again after picking up my grandkids from school and treated them to chicken nuggets 40 pieces and fries with biggie bag for my son upon eating his fries he found hair on the fries I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager she did apologize and stated she will give me another order of fries I was going to drive back however it’s not close by and we were already home I was so disappointed my son and grandkids didn’t want to eat any of their food because of the hair on the fries even though they’re wasn’t any on the nuggets they felt disgusted I threw the entire order in the garage a waste of my money $33.44 down the drain I would not recommend...
