I ordered food via online through Maria’s website around 4:20pm. I leave work at 4:30 pm and it says 45 minutes. Ok fine I take my time I go to get gas. I show up at 5:03pm the owner is waiting on people. Ok great I am a patient person I will wait. She then asked what my name is for pick up. I tell her she goes and looks comes back WITH the receipt from my order and says with an attitude “this big order is for you? Because it says it won’t be ready until 5:21pm” I then said “ok” she then repeats what she said AGAIN as if I didn’t hear her the first time. I said ok. She says “ok well are you going to wait because you can have a seat” ok so I sit in waiting not saying anything scrolling on TikTok. People from outside are coming in ordering their tacos in front of me and are leaving before me. At this point it’s 5:40 pm now past the time she told me with attitude the food would be ready. At 5:50pm she is going to tell me my food is ready and in Spanish as if I don’t speak Spanish is going to ask did you tell her the food was ready…..? THAT BROWN BAG WAS SITTING ON THAT COUNTER FOR 20 minutes before I was told my food was ready. When I got home my food was cold hard tacos were falling apart and soggy. I even gave a 20% tip on my online order as a courtesy and to be treated like that. Absolutely not. I will not be going here again. They have lost my respect! I spent almost $80 here and every time I come here I ALWAYS SPEND GOOD MONEY it’s always $60 and above. I RAVE about this place and recommend people to come here. BUT AFTER TODAY. nope you have lost my business. UPDATE 10/08/2024 @ 9:06 PM Someone from the restaurant called and apologized for what happened. I was offered a refund due to the amount of time I waited and for the issues I had with the food. I was also asked to update this post to help support the small business. I do want to say I have been eating at Maria's since 2013-2014 ish around the time I met my husband - I have done nothing but support this place. Whether it's the food truck, take out or dine in. The food typically and usually is very good you do get a lot for the money you spend. Just do better, whatever issues your having at the restaurant whether it's your ordering system, your kitchen, your staff.... it doesn't matter don't take it out on...
Read moreMy family and I went to Maria’s yesterday for my dad’s birthday and we went here so excited because we usually love this spot but after yesterday we will no longer be returning! I ordered enchiladas and everything was fine until I took a bite and found some kind of metal scouring pad piece in my mouth. When I took it out I was confused at first so we let the server know and she went on to explain that that’s what it was but no management was told & they did absolutely nothing about it actually what they did instead for the first time (cause we’ve gone multiple times) was add a 20% Gratuity to our check. I could have chocked or been hurt/cut from the metal so the lack of care was beyond me. But wait there’s more.. my sister for the first time ordered the birria pupusas and found multiple (about 6 ) fish bones/a fin integrated into the batter part luckily it was sticking out and she was able to realize before biting into it and started pulling them out. Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was painfully slow. The staff seemed completely disorganized and uninterested in their jobs. It took them nearly 10 minutes just to bring a single drink, which is unacceptable, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The waiters barely checked on us, and we constantly had to flag someone down just to get basic service.
The worst part was the food. After waiting nearly an hour, our meals finally arrived—only to be served cold. It was clear that the food had been sitting out for a while before reaching our table. We had ordered simple dishes, so there was no reason for such a long wait. When we brought it up to the staff, they didn’t seem to care much and just gave a half-hearted apology.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Slow service, cold food, and an unmotivated staff made for a frustrating visit. A restaurant should prioritize customer satisfaction, but this place clearly does not. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and I certainly won’t be...
