First off, Edwin Beltran is a snobby moron that obviously has never frequented a REAL neighborhood bar and grill. Come on, Edwin! You can't compare this place to corporate run establishments like Applebee's, Chili's, and TGI Fridays! Let's be real, this place is a dive bar through and through. However, the food is good and the beer is cold. Cocktails are stiff. Bartenders are accommodating, especially Brenda. Without Brenda, I don't know where this place would be. That is one dedicated employee! Kayla and Angie are great as well! I appreciate all that they do. So to all you unpretentious locals out there; come give Main Event a try. This used to be the best hole in the wall little bar in town for a burger and beer... Then they cleaned it up a few years back. It's still the best burger and beer in town, it just doesn't look like a hole in the wall inside anymore. The electronic June box is fun, but can get expensive. The pool tables are smaller, but there are two. The TVs can be seen from any seat. Bring your own candy bar, they don't have desserts. Smoking patio is nice, and covered. Three small restrooms keep us serviced. Chips, decent food specials, boxing themed decor, and friendly service. People interact with each other here. I went to lunch now twice with my wife and we are typically short on time so we can't go to the west side where most restaurants are in town. We went here an was impressed. The food is very well portioned. The Bar/Restaurant was small but well lite and clean. The prices are very good. The menu is basic bar food. They aren't reinventing the wheel, but what they do give you is good food it is great, the monster fish sandwich is awesome and the BLT too. Wife loved her burger and the fries are like fair fries.
