Donatos Pizza — Restaurant in Berne Township

Donatoes WAS ..YES WAS UNbeatable...but since Jim Grote the owner sold to McDonalds, got it back after mcds destroyed it...it has gone DOWN DOWN DOWN HILL! The taste of the food is horribly bland. The Footlong sub they USED to carry has BEEN REPLACED with a DAINTY TINY 6 INCH sandwich bun that becomes soggy if it has a drop of stingy applied NO LONGER PIZZA SAUCE but a Tasteless meri"nowaya" sauce which is 70%water. I took this sandwich apart..curious where the rest of it went..4. Yes ONLY 4 PAPER THIN semi slices of a pinkish white immitation meat Some shredded green stuff,and two tomato slices a postage stamp would hide the super see thru slice of clear red ? Then to ad insult to injured tongue..their was mayonnaise!! Slopped ALL OVER THIS DISGUSTING PUTRID EXCUSE of a Italian sub? Yeah..all the crappy sizes the tasteless yuppie fake food is Linda Grote Jim Grote's wife is HER FAULT! JUst because she doent want to eat is NO REASON TO PUTRIFY WHAT WAS A STATE FAVORITE FOR YEARS AND YEARS..NOW..ITS A SUPER EXPENSIVE PLAIN BLAH SUBSTANDARD EXCUSE OF FOOD COLLEGE kid bistro wanna be... DONATOES IS DEAD!! THANKS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF WHAT JIM MADE INTO A FANTASTIC PIZZA EXPERIANCE...I dont know where Jim Grote is in all this..i assume he died, because he would have NEVER DESTROYED HIS PIZZA RESTAURANTS! JIM WAS A MAJOR INNOVATOR IN THE BUSINESS...JIM IS ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE for what has been done under the Donatoes name.. Shame on you ALL...

Donates is completely horrible now! Their subs are so lacking in taste and ingredients it's disgusting..I've been told by insiders at corp. H.Q. that Grodeys spouse took over the Donates Pizza places trying to make the former GREAT PIZZA SUB SHOPS into Trendy places for rich clientele! GRODEY Made His Millions off the WORKING CLASS FOLKS, Go back to the original menu,give us back the footlong sesame seeds buns,take away that horrible marinara sauce give us back the original recipe Pizza sauce,give us back the real meats and cheeses for the BIG DON SUB,take away the see thru non meat single slice of mystery what is it that fake meat gelliton? Boy yuck,I haven't had anything taste this bad since the grade school subs made of a quarter slice of all fat cheeeeaap bologna a 1/2 slice of fake cheese and a gallon of putrid mayo,slopped on a 4 inch piece of bread! I understand the world is short staffed, but this wasn't a short staffed issue. I did an order online at 3:30pm for a curbside pickup at 6pm. I got there at 5:50pm, they came out to my car 5 minutes later with my receipt saying my food was just now being put in the oven. A couple then walks inside and orders food and sits down. 15 minutes go by and they get their food before me! I waited another 5 minutes, called again to ask about my food because I had a baby in the back about to lose his mind and then they brought my food out. So did they forget about me? The girl who brought it out was very apologetic to me. I was ready to ask for my money back and leave. But what's the point of ordering 2.5 hours prior online if people are going to walk in and get served before you. I could have went inside, but it is cold outside and the less I have to drag my child in and...
