We traveled all the way from Florida to Ohio for an event and made the hour long trip from our hotel to revisit a piece of history & a piece of my childhood. Growing up with Rax in MN during my younger years I had no problem making the trip to one of the last 5 remaining Rax in the world…..And YES it was Worth it! From an Outsiders Eyes it may look like an old 90’s Fast Food Joint but it was Exactly as I remember it (minus the Endless Salad Bar and a few other things). But it was still Rax…and our meal was delicious (better than the competition which happens to be one of my second Food Groups). We did venture there a few years ago but I was truly impressed this recent visit due to the combination of their Excellent Customer Service (the gentleman behind the counter was both quick & friendly) and the food was Hot, Fresh & Delicious!!!! I truly hope they stick around as not only was it a delicious meal but a trip back to my childhood. It ended up being a great meal in a clean dining room with great service and a personal visit to my younger days growing up dining at Rax regularly. The “atmosphere/facade” may not be what it was back in the heyday of RAX but if you’re a diehard RAX aficionado then I definitely recommend that you make the trip to grab one last delicious bite of the Nostalgia before it’s possibly...
Read moreI had read that this was one of the last remaining locations of Rax and was interested to see what it was all about. We are from Texas and I had never heard of the chain before but I’m always down to check out eateries with stories. I’d say the good reviews are definitely based in nostalgia and not reality. The building looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it’s opening in the 80s. The employees seemed generally unpleasant but that’s not too unheard of for many places these days. Now to the important part, the food. Essentially this was Arby’s and tasted on par for the comparison. The difference is that I personally think that Arby’s sauce is what makes an Arby’s sandwich and being that Rax sauce was simply BBQ sauce I’d rate Arby’s a notch above. After we ate at Rax I got a mild stomach bug. Maybe it was a coincidence since we’re traveling but the timing aligns. In summary if you’re going for nostalgia I highly recommend as I could see you being taken back in time with the building but if you’re going for good food,...

MY FAVORITE MEAL WAS ALWAYS BBC COMBO W/REG. 🍟 or THE BROCCOLI CHEESE BAKED POTATO, SIDE CUP OF BBC CHEESE SAUCE AND A CHOCOLATE CHIP SHAKE W/EXTRA WHIPPED CREAM (NOT SURE IF I COULD EAT THAT MUCH NOWADAYS, I'D BE FULL AFTER THE BBC, LOLOLOL.) NOONE CAN BEAT THIS SANDWICH IN MY MIND. EVEN THE BUN IS GOOD W/THE CORN MEAL ON IT. JUST SAD I HAVEN'T EATEN IT IN PROBABLY 10 YEARS BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE CLISE BY.
