My husband and I came on a Saturday night 4/19/2025 to try out something new to us in the area. We were seated fairly quickly. The waitress we had was super sweet. Then there was another waitress who came over bc we got seated in her area. She was oblivious to the fact that the other waitress had come over had already taken our drink order in appetizers. The menus while they did look cool being leather bound, they were very difficult to try to get open order food and was falling apart. Ended up having to look at the menu online to be able to order. The food came out rather quickly. The fish was decent, so were the onion rings. However, the burgers that we got was an sad excusefor a burger, it looked like they had taken one burger and just cut it in half to split between two people to try to save money. They were not seasoned and sauce was on the pan with the burger, just setting on top of it. I understand trying to be original, but that was just no. There was so much mayonnaise, I had to scrape it off to even be able to eat it. I go to pick up my burger to eat it. And there is a good size wooden ball in the bread. I show the waitress and she took it back to the bar to ask what it was supposedly. It was a peppercorn, but it was way bigger than a peppercorn. And the food was not seasoned, so that was kind of hard to believe. I said, whatever chalked it up to things happen. They did take that specific burger off the bill. However, the bill itself was $80. Which is crazy. So I chalked it up to it, possibly just being a bad night and thought to myself.I'll give it another try some other day. 4/22/25 I went to go online to order food. Because like I said, the fish wasn't too bad. And the onion rings were okay, and I thought I would give them another chance. Was not able to order online because they had turned off. At least thats what I was told when I called in. I go to place my order. And explained to the girl that I wanted the fish and chips, but instead of the chips ( which are the fries) I told her I wanted onion rings instead. She repeats the order back to me.Stating that I ordered the fish and chips with no coleslaw and a side of onion rings. And I said, no I would like the onion rings instead of the fries I want the coleslaw. She seemed irritated and had a hint of an attitude in her voice. And told me it would be ready in about twenty minutes. I ordered it at 1 o'clock.I get there at 1:15 pm and my food was sitting on the counter. The blonde with a high ponytail and glasses was super sweet.I was able to pay for my order even though I was taking a phone call for my job. I pick up my food and mind you. I'm only 2 minutes down the road. I get back and the food is cold. The fish is super greasy, and it falls apart. I had five onion rings that were greasy and also cold. Extremely dissatisfied with the service and the food that I receive the second go around. I will not be ordering food from this place again. It would not recommend...
Read moreThe place looked promising then we made our food order. At approximately 12:25pm today we ordered our food. A jolly roger burger and fries a quesadilla and chips and salsa. Appetizer was a cheese bbq pulled pork dip and chips and our drinks.. drinks came out, people next to us sit down and make there order around 12:45pm and we get our appetizer. They were only given half cups of coffee because they were waiting for more to brew and promised a refill as soon as it was done. The people next to us get there food around 12:55 but no coffee we then asked about our meals and the waitress said it was about done. Around 1:05 the ladies next to us are done with their food and have yet to get a refill on coffee and we had mentioned to them we were still waiting on our food and they actually said something to the waitress about our order and were told it was about done. and then it was brought out around 1:10pm and looked like it would have been good there was a HAIR on top of my burger I just waited over 45 minutes to get.... I got a employee and notified him that I had just finally received my order and there was a hair on it and he took it to the back the waitress told us she would take it of my bill since I didnt want it replaced because I had WAITED FOREVER and it came out with a hair on it. I then said I would like to speak with a manager who I told I would leave a negative review on google she then syarted to beg and plead with myself and my girlfriend and that's when I walked out of the restaurant and the MANAGER THEN OFFERED TO BUY MY GIRLFRIEND A COCKTAIL OF HER CHOICE WITH HEROWN MONEY IF WE WOULD NOT LEAVE A BAD REVIEW ON THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE IT WAS THE OWNERS BABY AND THEY HAPPENED TO BE IN THE RESTAURANT AT THE VERY MOMENT SUPPOSEDLY... My girlfriend comes out of the restaurant and says she have us the items we received for free as I feel she should have with the poor service we received. As we are walking to the car at least 6 guys wearing aprons were standing out back smoking and hanging out having a great time and we noticed none of them were wearing hair nets or beards nets. Long story short this place is overpriced for the PISS POOR SERVICE they offer and the LAX MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION or...
Read moreWe were in the Lancaster vicinity but are totally unfamiliar with restaurants in the city. We honestly drove past the pub and then ended up coming back and trying it out because it looked nice. We are super glad that we did. It was an excellent dinner!
We arrived shortly after 5pm and were able to get seated immediately. When we left at about 6 pm there was a pretty long wait...so consider being a bit of an early bird.
Since we knew nothing about the restaurant we asked the server for recommendations. She gave us several different recommendations and was able to answer any of our questions. I had the mushroom and chicken pasta which was so good, I used the leftovers to make another dinner out of the following evening by adding some pork chops and some extra pasta and cream (pictured). Loads of mushrooms of many different varieties, wilted spinach, pasta and grilled chicken in a creamy wine sauce.
My son had the plain Mac and cheese which was deliciously gooey and delightfully tasty. If there is a kids menu we didn't find it and just ordered his from the adult portions. That was wise as I may have stolen several bites.
My husband had the Nashville hot chicken mac and cheese. The server even made sure that my husband liked pickles as the Nashville chicken mac has pickles throughout. He loved it and his distinct lack of a take home box proclaims just how tasty it was.
Honestly my only complaint is that we don't live closer! (It is a solid hour from our house.) If you are in the area check it out!
And remember my picture is just my filled out leftovers...not the original dish. But if a picture of leftovers can look that yummy just imagine how yummy the...
