Casey's — Restaurant in Berryville

The store is nice enough, but the employee working the food counter where you can get subs, pizza, and other offerings leaves a lot to be desired. The people who work making food also stock cold sandwiches in a deli case. I wanted an egg salad croissant, but the only one left was a smashed mess, so I asked if they had any more. I was directed to the food counter and asked there, and the woman seemed put out and declared that she "couldn't put anything extra on it." I said no problem. Then she said I have to make sure this pizza doesn't burn. I said no problem again. I went to the main counter to pay and get a couple of scratchers, thinking that would give the woman behind the food counter time to pull her pizza out. When I got back over there, she just looked at me sullenly and started putting together pizzas and whatever and basically ignored me for about ten more minutes. Finally, she pulled egg salad from somewhere, pulled out a croissant, slapped it together, and pushed it toward me. I tried to be friendly and asked if she had to work alone today. Yeah, she said. No attempt at friendliness or even a polite response like, sorry for the wait either while I waiting for after. No explanation why I had to wait so long while she did what she felt like doing before taking the whole 20 seconds it took her to make me an egg salad sandwich. I'd normally think, well maybe she's depressed or whatever, but she was fine and friendly to her friend who she had time to ask, guess who I'm dating now and then share the details. I like this Casey's, but it seems a poor choice to employ someone who can't even pretend to care about or be bothered by about actual customers. Still, I managed a "have a nice day." No acknowledgment other than a slightly annoyed look, as though I spoken to her in a foreign...

Decided to stop and get gas in the middle of my 4 hour drive home after a long day of work, the main reason being I love casey's and I really wanted a mega slice because i had yet to eat today. Unfortunately I waited until after I had already pumped gas to find out that every food item was generally disgusting . I went to see if any of the pizza was edible and it was so old it broke instead of bending. Casey's gets a 5/5 on brand name but this location was dirty, the fountain machines were out of order and after walking around the whole store twice I decided there wasn't anything inside this location worth eating. Stopped by the next casey's on my way and it was great!

Came back 2 days later and at 6:40am the only food prepared is a potato bowl and 2 slices of pepperoni.... no breakfast..... also they still had not restocked the coolers even though there were literal pallets of everything that was empty strewn about the establishment, there were no energy drinks that weren't sugar free in any of the coolers even though there were cases of warm ones all over, bathroom was still disgusting. I'll save everyone from seeing the bathroom because it was bad enough I had to see it.

Back 5 months later and still staying consistent, worst casey's I've seen in my travels.... who would even want breakfast at 7am? Crazy that one would expect breakfast at a casey's with breakfast pizza pictures all over the windows. Only a single item in the heating cabinet and it was left over potato bites from the night before. THIS...

Edited to add that in 4 weeks time since this original review, i stopped in this Casey's for the first time since the original review, and guess what, NO CHANGE. They are still out of creamer and the bathroom smells like piss. Might stop in in another month and update then.

Original review. For almost a month now, there has been an out of Order sign on the creamer dispenser at this location. Ridiculous. I usually drop a couple hundred in fuel a day when I stop at this location during the week, all because I really like Casey's coffee with the availability of coffee creamer in the dispenser. Fix this problem. And while you are at it, the men's restroom needs to be cleaned. I understand people are nasty, and it gets treated badly, but that is not an excuse for it to smell like 3 week old urine at all times. Management should be fired due to the lack of ability to 1, see the issues and/or 2, not correct these issues. I will update this post in the future if these things...
