I use the apps for fast food restaurants. I have McDonald's, Burger King, Popeye's, and I even have Arby's. If corporate wants to give me free food for ordering through the app, I am all there. I have used to Cermak location for years and never had a problem. This used to be a KFC (yes, I have their app too), they closed the location and remodeled into a Popeye's. I was excited. It is about half a mile closer than the Cermak store, but most importantly, it is south of the BNSF tracks - no trains to worry about. When using the fast food apps (McDonald's, BK, Popeye's - all of them), you pay for it in app. When you get to the restaurant, you give them the order and your name in the app (to confirm they have the right person) and the drive-thru gives you the food. Most of the time, it is waiting for me. About a year ago, this Popeye's was open for a month or two, I ordered a family meal.... through the app. I waited in the drive-thru line and told the person behind the speaker " have a mobile order". She informed me I have to get out of my car and come in to the store, wait in line at the counter, place my order (again), wait for the order, and then pick it up. They even tried to charge me again even though I paid through the app and told them as such. They were still new, so I wrote it off as they are figuring things out. In another few months, I repeated the process and was again told I needed to come into the restaurant. This time, I asked for the manager. He came by, and I explained what the issue was; rather than solve the problem, he said, "You do not respect me." I pointed out that McDonald's and Burger King have the same scenario, and I have never had to come into the restaurant. He repeated that I don't respect him. Today, I just went to the Cermak store, not an issue. Got my food. I will not go back to...
Read morePicture this, I am coming home from a long shift at my own customer service job in the food industry. I close up my shop and spend hours deep cleaning my store. I am both tired and hungry, looking for something to eat. Conveniently Popeyes is open and on my way home, I decide “yes, a 2 piece meal sounds delightful right now” but my expectations are low since late night fast food in my experience is met with stale food very below the standard, beneath my expectations, and grumpy tired workers (understandable). I drive up to Popeyes, it’s an hour till close and I have low expectations due to my typical experiences, but I am met with the nicest, bubbliest personality at the drive-thru box. She is thorough and polite, takes my order cordially and quickly (yet without rushing). I drive up to pay and the person at the window I believe is named Emily, she’s already prepared with my drink and my food! She is so nice and even asks if I want hot sauce or honey with my order! Nobody at a Popeyes has asked me this before and even such a small thing made me smile at how kind people can be! My food is made perfectly and every part of this transaction was enjoyable. These workers went above and beyond, especially considering they’re probably tired and ready to go home themselves, but they made my night!! Shout out Emily, you the GOAT for real. I teared up by how kind you were. Shout out to whoever was making the food because it was fresh, hot and fast!! Thank you for making the world a better place! You have restored my faith...

My first experience would be zero star review 12/27/2022. I called with complaint (I shared experience below) spoke to Rachel and told her they lost my business first visit with the order I received. She told me to come back to resolve issue. I tried to call back that night and after holding was hung up on.
Today - January 5, 2023 I give Rachel 3 stars! Cannot give more stars because the entire staff needs more training and to learn to work as a team. Rachel replaced my order, food was hot, restaurant was clean, drive-thru was packed.
12/27/22: Ordered with a coupon 2 can dine for $10.99, got home and was extremely disappointed. Should have had a mix of spicy chicken but received 1 breast, 1 thigh, 4 wings, all regular not spicy, missing 1 side (Cole slaw) buns were hockey pucks, 2nd side was mashed potatoes & they were skimpy. 1/5/23: Received replacement order. Correct 5pcs of chicken, both sides: Cole slaw very good and crunchy Mashed & gravy good Spicy Chicken hot & cooked! Assortment of pieces like it should be.
The Blueberry pie is a must try!!!!
Good luck. I hope you succeed and figure it out because the Summit location lost a lot of our neighborhood business. I heard the Cermak location is as horrible as Summit. Figure it out Harlem & Ogden we need a...
