South Hills Jewlers feels more like a friend's luxury jewelry box that you can buy and customize from. I took my daughter to one of their in store events just to see what it was like. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I spoke with, my now "go to" jewlery girl, Noel. She blew my mind in a way that changed my perspective on fine jewlery.
Range of knowledge honestly might not even be enough to describe what she knew. Anything my daughter and I pointed at, she could immediately tell us about the cuts and durability of every gem and their differences, history on antique pieces, and a WILD wealth of knowledge on diamonds. I didn't know how complex or even the real value of a diamond until I spoke with her. Noel was so excited and passionate about sharing her knowledge. Speaking with her was like having a tour guide through a museum of the most beautiful things in the world. Just a calm comforting voice and an answer to anything we could think of.
The cherry on top, after spending so much time answering my and my daughters questions, looking at things, trying things on, and general dilly dallying in a world of sparkle, all we ended up purchasing that day were a small pair of gold hoops. She was even kind enough to show us different styles and shapes that were true to size so my daughter could get exactly what she wanted. I love that my daughter and I got a luxury experience and were still taken so seriously with a small purchase.
I cannot recommend this establishment enough. It's so clear that the representatives here are truly driven by customer satisfaction and...
Read moreI hate leaving a negative review but this one just doesn’t sit right with me. I was looking for a Verragio engagement ring & they happened to be a dealer and the only one within my area. I wanted a 3+ carat diamond, one in specific I picked out and put a down payment on they lost. The clerk informed me the next and only one available was 10K more, imagine that. Total cost was 50K, they bragged up their finance and layaway options then told me I couldn’t use them. The clerk at this point (who doesn’t work for them, she left because of being mistreated) told me if she was in my shoes she would not give them any business. I did sadly, I wanted my fiancé to have a nice ring and spent all this time already. I was working 90+ hours a week and put a deposit on the diamond until I could make it in with the check. I was told I had 24 hours or they would keep my 10k deposit and ship the diamond back. Terrible place already, fast forward 3 years later a side stone fell out, I purchased what they call a lifetime care package for 2K and imagine that it doesn’t cover anything. When I called a lady named Diane told me she didn’t work here when I bought it and to deal with it, it’s not her problem then hung up on me. All I’m saying is do not put yourself through the headache of dealing with these people. Every where I go and any group I’m in I’ll inform people to stay away from them. At the moment I’m looking to rent a billboard off Route 19 and inform them to stay away from these people. I wonder then if they’ll actually care about...
Read moreMy now fiancé and I went to South Hills Jewelers together to look at engagement rings in October. It was only our second time looking, and our first in depth look based on the style she thought she wanted. We were immediately put at ease when Judy greeted us warmly and showed us around. Judy was patient and informative as we narrowed down our selection, even as she tried on many rings she thought she did not want just to be sure. We settled on the Verragio case and narrowed it down to a custom band. Judy showed us various cuts of diamonds and after only about an hour we confidently selected and put a deposit down on a beautiful princess cut diamond. Judy's smile and sense of humor made this experience so enjoyable for us both. When I went back to place the order, Judy made the process easy and quick. The biggest blessing was Judy's constant communication with me about the status of my custom order. I was on a big time crunch and she made my day when I heard her voicemail telling me the ring was in- only a few short days before I planned to propose. A typical 6 week order was ready in just over a month. It never seemed to be just about the ring or the sale. It was about our special moment and story, as` Judy made sure to ask about my personal life and our relationship. I give my highest recommendation to South Hills Jewelers and cannot wait to go back with my fiancé to give her a picture and get our protection plan. Thanks again...
