Old Georgetown Grille — Restaurant in Bethesda

driven by for decades- Sunday morning decided to try breakfast. Called ahead for parking info- Bethesda is horrible for parking and the 'genie' parking enforcement appear out of no where and before you can turn your head there is ticket on your windshield- seriously. Bethesda 'public' garages are free on weekends-Yay. Its in the corner and its old- part of an old 50's building. 15 tables and a small counter. Loved the super CLEAN kitchen which I can see from the counter seat I had. Owner at cash register- friendly and lots of regulars coming through as they spoke to each other. 12 dollars got me 2 pancakes, 2 eggs over medium, 4 delicious sausage links, real butter and syrup if needed. It nice inside, cozy, a certain luncheonette vibe from years ago. The BETHESDA FARM MARKET is across the street on Sundays. Overall great place...

Went to meet friends. I tripped on an unmarked step and hurt my knee, and toe and elbow. Not one single employee asked if I was ok. One employee actually mopped the floor around me while I got to my feet. Other guests asked if I was ok. I was the staff just looking at me. After I got to my seat the guests that saw to me went o the manager - while I didn’t hear it - I saw she was upset and pointed at the stairs - he looked at me then turned away.We asked the server if we could see the manager. She said ok - I saw her walk over and tell him and he just stood there. After 5 minutes I went to him. All he said was someone told me you fell I didn’t see it. I know people have to be careful for fear of being sued - but an in sorry you fell are you an ok goes a long way. I limped home and cleaned the blood off my knee and...

I went to this place yesterday morning with my 2 friends. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, and toast. The food was pretty good, until I noticed 2 eyelashes in my food. My friend accidentally removed one of them with her napkin so I could only make the waitress aware of one. The waitress, a middle-aged Asian woman, acted as if she didn’t see the eyelash when I repeatedly pointed it out to her on my plate. She was very dismissive and told me to speak to the manager, without even pointing out who the manager was. She did not show any concern whatsoever. I will not be back to this establishment and I wouldn’t recommend anyone...
