I can't say too many amazing things about this business. Alex is a godsend and saved me from losing my phone number. Xfinity Mobile screwed me over for a month with assorted shenanigans and incompetence. So much incompetence that they accidentally canceled my phone number which they told me could not be recovered. I had this phone number since college and wasn't interested in giving it up. Came over to Xfinity from AT&T and experienced nothing but horrible service. I didn't ask to be put on a prepaid service (called NOW MOBILE) and they signed me up on one over the phone on January 15th and told me they couldn't get me off for SIX MONTHS. All I got were apologies and ineffective attempts to correct the situation. Apparently NOW MOBILE doesn't support something called an "MDM feature function" was allows them to retrieve a phone number after it was canceled. THEY suggested I cancel it from NOW MOBILE to reboard it onto Xfinity's mainline service. I guess the rep that signed me up the night of 1/15 was looking for an incentive pat on the back from management or maybe didn't know what he was doing exactly - who knows, but he set the wheels in motion the ultimately led to tons of wasted time and a canceled phone number. NOW MOBILE doesn't offer live phone support, so you end up on virtual text communication with people overseas.... China, India Pakistan, Philippines, etc. Extremely slow, repetitive, communication challenges. They should call the service "NO MOBILE" because it was awful. Anyway.... I was completely despondent/lost Thursday and had given up hope until my brother suggested that I go see Alex. He's super skilled and super knowledgeable and most importantly super enthusiastic. We were successful in porting an otherwise dead phone number over from Xfinity to SIMPLE Mobile (a service he sells) and I'm back online. The prices were even less expensive - which was the reason why I stuck with Xfinity and continued to take the poor service I was getting from them. The service didn't port over immediately and I was so worn out by all of this that I told Alex to just get me a new phone number. The status was stuck in "in process" which I thought was because my old phone number really technically was no longer available (according to Xfinity).
Alex encouraged me to stay positive since it could happen anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours. Lo and behold - 7 hours later I got the good news. The order was completed!!!!! I could restart my phone. He made my day!
I can't recommend...
Read moreExperimax is not only one of my favorite establishments in the area â but indeed, they are a gem of a business for all Apple product owners.
I have had numerous experiences with Experimax for myriad service needs â from a simple power issue on an aging G5 PowerMac, to upgrades and sustainability fixes on a 2009 Mac Pro. The work that the team performs at Experimax can best be described as surgical, for indeed, they operate like doctors to keep your beloved Apple alive and functioning. Moreover, the knowledge base shared between the owner, Alex, as well as Chris and the rest of the Experimax team extends well beyond mere repairs. They know audio/video, they know gaming, and they are knowledgeable about all emerging Apple technology.
It must also be noted that the customer service that I have experienced at Experimax is second-to-none. They have treated me (and no doubt all of their customers) like family, always employing crystal clear, yet thoughtful and honest communication related to whatever service I have sought from them. Ladies and Gentlemen, they cannot be compared to the Apple âGenius Bar,â or any other outfit that purports to service Apple products. You can expect EXPERT service, with heart, from real Apple âgeniusesâ that love what they do. And, their prices are beyond exceptional for the work that they extend to their customers.
Businesses like Experimax should be championed and celebrated â not only within the growing Apple community of patrons, but by our entire community-at-large. Experimax is a throw-back to the days when businesses truly cared about getting the job done for their customers. Alex and his crew are mavericks in the Apple tech world, and they are my best resource and ally in the maintenance of my old and new Apple products.
You wouldnât trust your BMW or your Porsche to âany oldâ mechanic. I wouldnât trust any other business beyond Experimax with the repair and service of any Apple product I own.
Thus, for any of your Apple needs, seek Experimax first and...
Read moreI should have called first. I was under the impression that this was a small business called Secure Data Recovery Services. I anticipated that they would understand that I clearly know nothing and would be able to help.
Unfortunately, the person working had an impatient and condescending manner towards me. I realize I was not articulate in my explanations and answers, but this is why I sought the help of an expert. It was apparent that he was frustrated during our brief conversation and was rude.
I still need help and have questions, so Iâll keep looking.
Edit: The evening I was in the store, Once Again Tech, a tall, red headed man unlocked the door to let me in the store. He stated he kept the door locked due to theft. He was rude and impatient. I never talked to anyone from SDRS, as explained in my original comment. This review is for the employee in your store at that time. I find it concerning that a small business owner is being dishonest about an interaction with a potential customer.
You have a reading comprehension and employee problem.
Edit:: Wow. Youâre mad. Youâve had enough details to figure out the time and date I stopped in. You probably already erased it.
With your blatant denial of basic truths and your attempt to deflect and discredit an honest review, I hope others will think twice about your ethics. It doesnât matter if this individual was an employee of yours or someone filling in, they were rude. As are your responses. Iâd be more concerned about that, than trying to be spiteful about a single review on Google. This is a bad look for a small...
