The best chicken north of the Carolinas. Everytime I eat here I inevitably have to spend a few minutes remembering I am on the North Shore in MA. The food isn't indicative of the area or even the state. It's more at home in Virginia or North Carolina and when it comes to fried chicken, that is a very good thing.

If you like things a little spicy, order the Angry Bird. It doesn't disappoint. While I am mentioning the menu...do yourself a favor and trust the chef on your first visit. Don't customize the sandwich because a description makes you a little nervous. I have eaten fried chicken from coast to coast and can honestly say this is in my top 3 and it owes that to the balanced ingredients on each sandwich. Its disorienting to have this quality of food in a strip mall in Beverly. Pure cognitive dissonance. Digestive dissonance even!

The place is clean and due to the aforementioned strip mall, parking is ample. Inside is barebones but immaculate. The young staff is exceptional well trained and friendly. It's almost as if they enjoy working there (gasp!).

The sides change regularly but are of good quality. The fries are a joy and I hear the ribs are good as well. It's not "cheap" but it also isn't priced out of reason. You are getting something too good to be fast food but still being able to enjoy it on the beach or in front of your own t.v.

Fly, don't walk, to Flip The Bird right now. It's totally worth it any day of the week. Anticipate the need to eat here one or more times a week for the rest of your natural life. Just don't blame me if even your seatbelt starts...

First of all, the chicken is 5 stars so if you want one of the best chicken sandwiches ever, go here...that said, the ordering, the etiquette, the wait time... Etc that all needs a lot of work.

I online ordered from my car , was told 40-45 minutes which on its face seemed very long for a fried chicken sandwich, but I accepted it because supposedly this place was tops. After waiting 40 minutes I went inside the vestibule to pick up and was informed that it wasn't ready yet. They offered to bring it to my car so I said sure why not. At approx 50 min I went back in to check and again, they offered to bring it to my car. I went back to my car for 10 more minutes and then returned. I was told it still wasn't ready. Then as I'm standing there the person at the front tells me "I need you to wait outside, I can only have a maximum of 1 person in here for social distancing". Please goes a long way but apparently not here. So I shuffled myself outside to wait some more. 5 minutes goes by and he looks at me through the window and tells me to come and pick up the food...the kicker was there was another customer in there at the time...so much for only allowing one person at a time. He did apologize for the wait but it's no big deal, I won't be back unless they can get their wait time down to a reasonable level. Hopefully they will train their forward facing staff to have a few more...

My two time experiences have been a let down. I did not want to write this the first time because I thought hey, simple mistake, whatever, and came back again because of the good food.

My first experience; busy and a long line which is expected as the foods were good. I don’t mind waiting! Anyway, I ordered quite a few things off the menu and because there is no place to eat, we decided to do a take out. Once we got home (we live in Lynnfield), we realized we did not get one of our sandwiches and fries. We could not call because there is no phone and did not feel like driving back.

Anyway, like I said the foods were great and I was craving for their sandwiches again. We ordered worth $80 to find out when we got home again that 2 of the sandwiches were not in the bag. So in total this is about $35 we paid for that we did not receive. Partially, it’s my fault for not checking we had all the items after having the first experience.

Overall, the cashier and workers were nice. Great clean atmosphere and clean bathroom. I understand the first time they were swamped with customers, but the second time they were not as busy, but the accuracy and efficiency is lacking. I am giving this a fair 3 stars because foods were great. I do recommend this place, but don’t leave without making sure all your items you paid for...
