Celebrating our 36th Anniversary & a B-Day. First time here. WOW! Amazing Food, & Service We were treated beyond hospitality! Thank you for making strangers to your town, feel so at home! Every bite of everything we tried was perfect! Plate presentation beautiful. Bourbon sauce on the Grilled Salmon, The Fried Green Tomatoes Amazing!! We were rained out of seeing the outdoor drama we came to see. But the Resturant GM and Owner came made our grab done dinner before the show worth the visit to Big Stone Gap! If your close, it’s worth the trip to stop and check it out! Keep up the excellent service! Dale & Arna

While were traveling through this beautiful quaint town we decided to stop in for a late lunch. It was a great choice! The meals we were served were absolutely delish! I had the monterey chicken and he had the hawaiian chicken. Let me tell you that both of these meals are like something you would get in a fancy 5 star restaurant and pay triple for. We were more than impressed. I hope we are in the area again so we can dine with you all some more! Also- the sweet potato fries with the marshmellow are to die for. We were stuffed and even had left overs for lunch the next day!

Never thought I would see a Manager defend undercooked pork. At first she wasn't sure if it was undercooked and had to take it back to ask. (Which is a little concerning since its obviously pink in the center) then she said, "That's how we give it to all our customers." I enjoyed the parts that were cooked and the asparagus was pretty good. At least the mistake was corrected by charging half for it. I wasn't even asked how I wanted it cooked (assuming it is appropriate to cook pork at medium) The waitress and front desk were nice.

So my girlfriend came here for our first Valentine's Day together last month. It was a great experience.........then. Tonight we decided to have our children meet for the first time and the experience was not as appealing. The place was busy, as the sign of any good restaurant should indicate. We arrived our order was taken and we waited.......and waited........and waited.......we even waited while others who arrived after us received their food orders.......and waited.......and waited.......for an hour and 20 minutes. If I had not stopped a waiter to address the issue, we would have waited even longer. At this point the manager intervened and made sure our orders came.......20 minutes later. He later apologized and said they were "slammed" .....and yes the place was packed. But when we called attention to the fact our order had not come ........after seeing that everyone else literally was eating except for our party of 6........we were only acknowledged after addressing the issue ourselves? Because our waitress hadn't checked on us for over 40 minutes........All food arrived except the fajita meats arrived cool to warm and my son's fish tacos were soggy. I was going to wait to see how management would address the issue but my son who is very outspoken pulled the manager aside and explained how he was less than pleased with his meal......we have owned a food business and customer service was always a priority and if we were not at our best we made sure the customer knew we could always do better.....even if It meant 25% off the whole dine in or more......with 25% off your next visit. He offered 25% off my son's meal, thinking my son was paying I think....he is 16. Then after eating it was almost 20 minutes before I bill was presented. When asked how the bill would be paid, my girlfriend wanted the bill split between her and I, her paying for her and her children and I for me and my son. I informed the waitress that the manager would be paying for mine.....which brought a dumbfounded look and a reply if ok....... She returned with the bill and 25% off my son's meal and 50% off mine. I asked my girlfriend later if her food was discounted and it wasn't. A discount wasn't the only solution of course. However, an apology because you are "slammed" wasn't either. I hope your business is slammed every night.....I hope you are packed every night and day! Make service match that level of business......and until you do, when you present sub par service, acknowledge it and incentivise a repeat customer...

I had high hopes for this place judging by the reviews. I really wanted to take my grandmother to a great place she had never been before because it was her 80th birthday. Starting off, it took awhile for us to be able to place our order and even longer to get our drinks. We ordered the onion rings which came out hot, but they didn’t bring any sauce. We had to flag down the host to get some because our waitress was MIA. Next, we received our salads. The salads had wilted lettuce all through out and actual dirt as well. As we were waiting for our entrees, we were hoping the waitress would take some of the empty plates from the table, but no. Our entrees finally came out after over an hour of waiting. My grandmother ordered just a basic burger and my boyfriend and I ordered the Cajun Alfredo. The food came out pretty much cold. My grandmother’s burger was warm but it wasn’t cooked through. She ended up not eating the middle of her burger because it wasn’t cooked enough in the center. We had to ask for a manager concerning the alfredo dishes. They were inedible. He did have the food remade and had some of the cost taken off, but in all honesty even when the food came back out hot it still was not good. I have worked food service Management positions, and judging by the quality and temperature of the food, I not only would have remade it, but I also would have at least comped the two alfredo dishes completely. Also considering it took us over an hour and 15 min to get our food in the first place. It took awhile for us to finally pay our check and leave. Way overpriced for the quality of the food. Very disappointed and was sad that my grandmother’s birthday dinner was not up to par. I understand with the circumstances it may be difficult to have the correct amount of staffing, but with the sheer amount of issues we had during our one dinner, that is not a big enough excuse. $38 for below mediocre food is...

Let me start by saying the food had great flavor, but the service was HORRIBLE. We went for lunch on wednesday, we were seated immediately and there were maybe 6-7 other occupied tables. We placed our order, and waited and waited and waited. After 30 minutes other tables got up and left, speaking with them as they left they told us they had been waiting more than 40 minutes and their waiter told them there were still 5 orders ahead of theirs. A table of about 8 got half of their food a few minutes later, those people were halfway done before the other half of the table even got their food. Next time we saw our waiter we asked him about how much longer you thought on our food and he said about 5 minutes, it was at least another 10 to 15 after that before we got our food. One of the members of our party's food was even relatively cold when we got it and when we mentioned it to the waiter he literally said other than being cold is your food okay and then left the table. After eating when we went to the register they made us wait while they went to find our waiter who apparently had to ring us up, then they didn't even have enough cash to give us the correct change and were counting out pennies when we told them not to worry about it. There was never an apology from a supervisor or manager for the long wait time, or even the cold food, actually we never even saw a manager/ supervisor the whole time that we were there. When we mentioned it to our server that maybe they should tell people that there's an extremely long wait time ahead of time so they can make a decision about whether to eat there or not our statement was ignored. After hearing such good things about this place I was so disappointed in the lack of management and service that we...
