Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Billings

A HUGE shout out to the staff working Sat evening (08/30)! They went above and beyond to make our experience great. We showed up 15 minutes before closing. We've shown up at this time before and have been served (and have seen others do the same -- it's not unheard of at this location). However this time, they had cleared most of the food early. I apologized to them and asked if it was still possible to order (but did realize they might say no and we would be out of luck)... but they truly stepped up and apologize to us, as they realized it was not the right decision to clean up before closing time. They didn't have all the options available but readily made available all that they could for us. And they apologize more than once, wanting to make it right. I truly commend their actions! And we will return because of it. We've experienced restaurants/ coffee shops/ take 'n' bake pizzas all closing well before their posted times (some by an hour) and the employees saying sorry not sorry. Sadly some managers have not cared. But this store! Wow. In an age were most take the easy route, this band of guys did not. And they really stood out because of it. I ordered a bowl and a regular size drink and the soda had no fizz the soda tasted expired so I let them know and since I was dining in I wanted my drink they said they would fix it and it would take about 20-30 minutes. So I asked if I could switch it or pay the difference for a glass coke and they said they couldn’t do that they can’t do refund and that I couldn’t pay the difference so I had to buy 2 glass cokes for $6 for me and my mom and also payed for the regular size drink which they said was around $2.80 I think anyways I didn’t even end up using that cup it went in the trash. I finished eating and they were still not done fixing the machine I payed for something I didn’t even use and they didn’t try to help me even tho I said I could pay the difference for the glass coke which they said no you can’t pay the difference. Makes no sense I did not use and it wasn’t my fault their soda tasted expired.(it wasn’t just the coke it was also the Diet Coke the sprite and all the other options that had no gas and...

I have been going to chipotle for fifteen year. This location since they opened. I cannot do The rice with cilantro. This ask has never had an issue in the past as every chipotle ive ever been to keeps some prepped behind the counter. Often enough I have to remind or inform the person working that they have it, this location in particular, but this time, the question itself seemed to stop this kid flat on his face, would have thought he witnessed a natural disaster to be asked such a question. after he came to he answered they only have the options up front. When i reminded him they have it back there. He doubled down by informing me that they've no longer been allowed to sell that rice. Youd think just get it with out rice but It's half the burrito. And me like many other people taste cilantro like dish soap.

don't know if that kid wasn't trained well or if it is the new policy. But honestly I'm done with the argument and I'm just not going back. It's always a fight for a simple and it's not worth...
