Tea City and Cupcakes — Restaurant in Billings

I Placed an order for 30 cupcakes for my CNA's (Certified Nursing Assistants) to celebrate CNA week, and appreciate my staff. I place my order 3 weeks in advance and paid up front with a credit card. I told them I needed them on June 15th. I called on June 15th to confirm they are ready. (As this bakery is 45 minute drive each way to pick them up). I called 4 times over 3 hour period, no one answers the phone, during business hours. I Drove there hoping the cupcakes would be ready. They were not. I WAITED. When staff brought them out there were not "right" as per my order. Each cupcake was to have a little nurses white cap with a red cross, and say #1 CNA. Well. The "caps" look like gravestones with a Jesus cross and there was no # 1 CNA on them. Total Mess up. I had to wait 30 minutes and when I got them - My order was not "right". Don't buy cupcakes here. Just make them at home. Much cheaper too. I could have make 3 dozen for less than $10, and purchased little white paper nurses hats off the internet, and they would have been so much cuter. I should have ordered a cake at COSTCO for my CNA's. This Bakery is horrible. I know I marked a 1 Star - but they are less than that. I also wanted each cupcake in its own carry out container (which I paid for in advance) - they came out in trays, and I had to ask for a bag to carry 30 cupcakes to my car. Horrible...

I’m sad to say that although she was polite, the girl working at the counter yesterday made our boba tea order totally wrong. My unsweetened green tea was sweetened somehow— it may be that their boba is sweetened, which I would have appreciated knowing as sweetener gives me a headache and I asked for an unsweetened tea. :( My husband’s boba milk tea, however, was just NOT milk tea… there was no tea in it! When we were handed our order, his looked like milk with boba in it, so he kindly asked if there was a mistake and if tea was supposed to be in it. We were told, “No, boba milk tea actually has no tea in it, it has a non dairy creamer with a water base.” This is just not true— he ALWAYS orders boba milk tea and multiple shops always put tea in it— but my husband was at a loss as this girl clearly didn’t know HOW to make his drink, and there didn’t seem to be anyone one else there. So… we left. His non dairy creamer drink and my sweetened tea unfortunately went into the trash before being finished. I wish we had better things to say but not this time! Hopefully the owner can see this review and make the correction so that staff knows how to make a basic boba...

They didn't inform me of the .50 charge for using a credit card; I had to ask. She said it was too late to switch it to a cash sale; I was stuck with the 12.5% price increase to $4.50. The cupcakes are 1.5" W x 3" H. 1.5" is frosting. I bought blueberry chocolate. Moist, icing was grainy w/small chunks of shortening; VERY sweet. To me, it tasted like a Walmart cupcake except Walmart frosting...
