Our dining experience on Oct. 8th is not commensurate with many reviews however the reviews of substandard breakfast serving and offerings is absolutely genuine. Ratings are for dinner service only. A breakfast review would warrant a dismal one or two star. Yes, for the flagship restaraunt of Harrahs, the dinner experience is on the higher price side and falls short of the Caesars brand and Neros restaraunt back in Canada. That said our food and service on our given night was wonderful. Andrea provided unrushed, unpretentious, attentive service throughout. Plating and drinks were timed perfectly albeit our seating time was quiet. The ribeye was charred to perfection, marvelouslly flavored and cooked exactly to medium rare standard. The appetizer of fried oysters in bacon jam and brie I can personally highly recommend as did Andrea. My wife's seafood pasta did not disappoint, moist and not overbearingly creamy nor cheesy with plump not overcooked shrimp. Enjoyable garlic smash and asparagus of decent size for accompaniment at an additional price though. Pleased to see Harrahs unlike our home casino still offers a free bread offering to start. Appreciated. Ambience and seating is a little lacking. Dimming the lights so the menu is hard to read isn't ambience. Wish I could remember my red wine selection. Very smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed our food for the evening. The flip side of the coin. Management should understand the breakfast service is immensely disappointing. I agree with another reviewer it is barely above the offering of my overnight park and fly hotel, proceeding my trip. From prepackaged food, lack of fresh homefries, eggs benedict sauce not up to par, toasted bun soggy underneath, limited choices, expensive, ie bacon side at $6.99, delivered cold and halfway through the meal, very small fried eggs and the add on charges for extra omelete ingredients, the whole experience needs a revisit. Add to insult our service by Pam who delivered no water, tea and coffee for a sit down meal in paper cups , ridiculously slow service, not only on the bacon, but everything. Nasty dry packaged sausage rounds versus real sausage. Tea with just a tea bag, not lemon or honey, a swizzle stick for stirring versus a spoon unlike we received the day before. I don't give a crap vibes for sure. Be offended or please action the items to enhance the likelihood of repeat business.

My wife and I came here hoping to have a fine dining experience. The first thing that struck us is a separate limited menu on Sunday to Tuesday, not the one we were expecting. I suppose that that was my mistake for not looking online at the difference in the menus, but it never occurred to me that there would be different menu at this type of place. There might be 10 reasons for this, but in my opinion a restaurant offering the appearance of fine dining should be closed if they can't offer their full range of offerings and service on certain days. such as at the hotel we left to come here. When the server came we noticed paper napkins. For a place like this, I would have expected cloth napkins. Our server took our drink orders, then later on took our order for food, then we received our appetizer, and then we finally received our cocktails, about 20 minutes after we ordered them. I wasn't specific about a bourbon for my old fashioned. So I expected the house brand of Bourbon. Looking at the bill and the taste, it was a regular whiskey, not bourbon. When my drink came it looked like it was from a college bar and with a maraschino cherry instead of a luxardo cherry. (Old fashioned drinkers will understand.) Take a look at our waters! See the pics. Our waters came in a plastic Pepsi cup! At this price point?! After all this, I should mention the food. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good though a little harsh on the horseradish. My wife's steak was thinner than I expected though large enough and properly cooked and delicious. My seafood pasta was rich and tasty. It had the shrimp shells still on but that was fine. After all this, I don't get the price point of this place. This was not a fine dining experience though they charged fine dining prices, for us $100 per person including tip. I cannot recommend this restaurant though it would not take too much to make it 4 stars. The way this place operates, they just don't seem to care. The food was decent which is the only reason it doesn't get just 1 star. This place should shut down for a week or two, reorganize and think about their mission, then reopen with a new commitment.

Let's start off with the service. My wife and I went to the restaurant at around 5:30 pm and there were not a lot of people there but it was extremely slow and the waitress could not recommend anything. Nor did she try and recommend anything. While giving our order(we should have gone with our instincts to just leave), we saw a couple sitting at their table paying their bill and noticed that they didn't pack their food to go(both had about half a steak left). We ordered the, fried green tomatoes, gulf lobster soup, grilled chicken pasta, ribeye, spinach, and garlic smash potatoes. When the food came out (after taken forever), each dish looked amazing. For presentation , I give them an 8 out of 10, but for taste 2 out of 10. Ever thing was bland, no seasoning, and everything also came out below warm but not cold. The spinach was more like a soup of spinach and cream. All an all I would not recommend, the pricing is for fine dining, but you get less than mediocre food.

This was an absolute horrible experience from start to finish…..which was awful as we were celebrating our anniversary!

First, we arrived timely for a reservation and was skipped over, with another couple being seated in front of us.

Second, our server was extremely dry, didn’t share specials like I heard other servers doing, and we literally had to ask him for bread that everyone else received.

Third, the fried oysters were awful! You’re right on the Gulf, how in the world are you serving Bad oysters? Both my husband and I got sick from them! We even told the server that we didn’t like them, and we didn’t eat them… There was no offer to take them off of the bill, however!

My husband, the New York strip and bake potato… He said his meal was “OK “… I had the seafood pasta, and it was the most bland dish I have ever been served. I even asked for fresh cracked pepper, and that didn’t help!

I’m not sure how this restaurant calls itself. An upscale dining experience as the entire night was a disappointment from the service to the food! Major and epic fail!

We could have chosen any restaurant to celebrate our anniversary… Next time will make a...
