Harrahs should be ashamed putting a substandard restaurant like this in its Casino. On the surface it’s cute decor but we were there 7-8 pm and NO ONE was cleaning tables off , the counters weren’t kept clean, and the trash can top had debris that was never cleaned off. The firecracker shrimp was heavily breaded and the lowest class of miniscule shrimp you can find! That’s disgusting in a seafood town. Several people fly in here on junkets quite often, what a terrible representation of a coastal restaurant ! If management doesn’t believe me, check those cameras I see looking over that restaurant! I’ll never patronize this one again. I’ve been going to various Harrahs Casinos for 40 years ! Here’s the pic of the filthy trashcan patrons are expected to put their paper plate baskets in when done. I realize it’s a waste receptacle BUT this is a renown Casino that is supposed to be maintained above average standards!!!! And please don’t tell me if the restaurant is independent of Harrahs itself, it’s still within Harrahs and they MUST be required to maintain an exceptional standard. Gamblers spending money do NOT want to see this low class level...
Read moreCONS - Got a platter to share to try it out. They DO NOT accept free food offers from the hotel. If rewards points are used it's 2x. Food is awful. So salty it's inedible. About 5 oysters on the platter. Two were almost the size of a quarter, the others were half the size of my fingernail. They had the texture of a pencil eraser and absolutely no flavor. In my 70+ years, I've never had oysters even close to this bad. 75% of the batter fell off the seafood before you could get it off the plate. I figure it's been battered then frozen. Shrimp had no taste at all. Fish was edible if you took the over-salty batter off.
We had to clean off our own table with napkins and water from my drink. Not one clean table to sit at. Two employees on duty, no customers and they were shooting the breeze with a room full of filthy tables directly in their eyesight.
PROS - the hushpuppies...
Read moreWe stopped here to eat instead of going over to our "go to" place, Ths Blind Tiger, as we didn't want to battle the weather. The place was a little busy, but not overly so. We waited over 45 minutes for our food! When we did get it, the salmon was overcooked and the shrimp boil was disappointing. We did converse with some others that were eating there before we ordered and they said the food was really good, but it appeared that they had some deep-fried dishes, so maybe that is a better route to go. We were disappointed in the food and time it took to get it, but the young gal that took our order and brought the food was doing her best and was apologetic. I doubt we'll try it again and will instead head across the street to TBT. For about the same cost, it's much...
