Quick update. This is the first time I've been here under new ownership. I still liked it and as usual I got my favorites, the War Eagle sandwich Chicken breast with provolone, grilled onions and peppers with the best pesto I've ever eaten. I'd love if they offered pasta with this pesto, that's how good it is. Now the downside, they used to shred the white meat chicken and now it's now more looking like chicken tenders, however, not chicken tenders. How do I know? One of the pieces of chicken on my sandwich had a big thick piece of flabby skin on it. Not crisp just rubbery and yuck. To me there's nothing worse. It tells me the quality of preparation is not there. The fries that came with it were just not good. There were clearly newer and older ones mixed together. You know that dried out inside of the fry that is barely visible. Yes there were many of those inedible ones. It is indicative of taking shortcuts maybe to save cost but it was less quality. For my second dish I ordered the small Mississippi Fries (Fries with cheese, gravy and topped with pot roast). The picture here is the small to go order. The only thing that is different is that previously they had the pot roast in the gravy and it was poured evenly. They included a ton of pot roast but because the pot roast has been sitting separate from the gravy and placed on top of gravy, some of the flavor that used to be in this dish is missing. It's still good but the pot roast is a little more dried out from not being mixed with the gravy. The good thing is I won't even notice the dried out fries in this dish.

My folks and I drove about an hour down from where they live to try out this place. They were packed at about 1:30PM on the Monday before NYE, but still had a couple tables available for us to sit down. The lady who served us was really sweet, albeit pretty scatterbrained. However, it was packed and before a major holiday so that's to be expected. She was super friendly and attentive all the same. I got the seafood sampler with red beans/rice and turnip greens. Every bit of that meal had a distinct seasoning. Even the breading on the fried shrimp and fried catfish tasted like it was seasoned differently. The dining was really open concept (for lack of a better term), and they had football memorabilia on the walls and cute names for their dishes to coincide with SEC football team names. My mom got the "Who Dat" and she seemed to really enjoy it as well. The prices were really reasonable and there's really not much I have to say bad about either the food or our waitress. I would say the bathroom needed some work. It was worse than some I've seen driving to see my parents from Bham in gas stations. But honestly, with a little elbow grease and some Fabuloso, it would easily be fixed. Otherwise, it was definitely a great first trip and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

Very disappointing. We were in Biloxi Beach for a few days and decided to get something other than fried seafood. This place was recommended, so we ordered TWO orders of hot pot roast poboys, and a chef salad. The sandwiches were okay. Each sandwich was supposed to come with a side (we ordered fries), but the restaurant must have been trying to save money, because they put both sandwiches in one box, and shorted us an order of fries. You look at the picture and tell me that is two orders of fries. I had to use a leftover container for the other sandwich, as we had nothing else to eat out of. The salad was okay. When I asked where was the salad dressing, I was told it was in the box. Got back to the hotel; no salad dressing. The place only had one customer when I came in to pick-up our order, so it was not busy.

My heart now belongs to Master Chef Joshua! If you're not from the South, or if you haven't "been home" in a long time, Josh and his food will take you there! He serves a real homemade roast beef and gravy po'boy. If you think it's supposed to have processed, sliced roast beef like you buy in the store, you've never had a proper dressed and pressed rb po'boy! If you know... you know! The french bread is authentic and toasted, and it's the size of 2 Subway(🤢) sandwichs. Mine was delivered, so my gravy was on the side like a french dip, but it has a proper thick gravy, not au jus. The tomatoes!!! They were bright red, firm and absolutely packed with flavor! (You can't get them in a grocery store like this anymore) They were neither mealy, nor too hard. I would absolutely believe they're homegrown if they told me that! The "fall apart" roast was tender and juicy. The next time I order, I'm going to ask to hold the romaine lettuce and the pickles, and ask for the traditional sliced American cheese, if they have it. If you dine in, don't wear your good clothes and prepare to roll up your sleeves, if you're eating at home, just get nekkid! Again, if you know... you know! This po'boy is not spicy, nor is it supposed to be, but all of the flavors that are supposed to be there, are! I miss my mom and pop terribly, but Josh brought me home for a while tonight If all their food is half as good as this, you're in for a real treat! ~Elizabeth...

I have a 10 minute rule that I started following about 15 years ago. Once seated, I give the staff 10 minutes to start the process, be it menus, drink orders, etc., before I get up and leave. Now if the restaurant is really busy, obviously short staffed or some other factor causes them to be slow, that rule goes out the window. None of these factors came into play today. It was 1:00 in the afternoon. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full with a large table of some folks celebrating a birthday. There were at least three waitresses attending tables, including the one that told us to just find a table. These three waitresses gathered around the cash register multiple times chit chatting and ringing up one bill. During that time, not one of them could find their way to our table to let us know they would be with us shortly, offer drinks or anything. When the time came for us to leave, really more like 15 minutes than my 10 minute rule, we rose and walked past all three of them. Not one said a word or even looked as we passed. It was like we were not even visible. The restaurant came recommended as good food with great service. I cannot say anything about the food as we never got that far. The service however was beyond abysmal. Keep treating paying guest like this and your business will not last. I would not recommend this...
