La Michoacana Plus Biloxi, Ms. — Restaurant in Biloxi

My experience here with my two sons was wonderful. This is a Mexican place so please don’t expect American style ice cream or anything else just point to the item you want and order it although the woman working the drive through did know some English and we communicated decently. It’s authentic and tastes very very good. My Mexican hot Cheeto corn bowl was cooked to perfection, the corn was so tender and juicy it squirt water in my mouth when I bit into it, the corn was roasted so nice to go with the other toppings they put in it, nice savory flavorful snack. The pistachio ice is so good without it being too sweet, nice texture with real chucks of pistachio nuts in it, better than any store brand. The waffle cone was so good also better than any I’ve ever had. I didn’t try my son’s Oreo popsicle but it was very thick and not watery like store popsicles with whole Oreos in it instead of just small chucks. 17 dollars for 3 items and 3 people so not too bad for an authentic unique Mexican ice cream treats in the summer. So for our family outing today we decided to stop at La Michoacana Plus Biloxi,Ms for ice cream and me and my boyfriend got the frescas con crema, strawberries with whipped cream, we have been here a handful of times but this is the first time I have ever experienced how awful customer service really truly can be, about an hour after purchasing this drink we walked on the beach and ate our strawberries as we got to the bottom my boyfriend started to choke and he coughed up what was a SCREW!!! Out of my whole life I have never personally experienced something like this it was gut wrenching to think if I would have been the one to swallow it but we took it back with no fuss and privately consulted with manager and she only told us she was sorry and laughed about it… she then began to make another drink so I stopped her and told her we would rather have a refund and denied our request anyway so we left and let everyone know the situation… I will never go back...

LA MICHOACANA PLUS ICE CREAM PARLOR is a delightful spot! I tried the Fresa con crema, which is a cup of fresh strawberries served with cream. The strawberries were healthy, either whole or sliced down the middle, and paired perfectly with the creamy topping. My wife ordered two different mangonadas, which were also fantastic.

Everything is made fresh right in front of you, and the quality of the fruits and ingredients is top-notch. The only downside is the language barrier—the staff doesn’t speak much English, so there was a bit of difficulty communicating. However, with a little help from pointing at the menu and using a translation app on my phone, everything worked out smoothly.

Despite the language barrier, the experience was great, and I’m giving this place a solid five stars because it’s one of a kind in the area. The food is fresh and delicious, and it’s definitely worth coming back for....
