On 4/17/2025, I wanted to share my recent experience and express my disappointment. I was really excited to try Crafts on 7th for breakfast after seeing your posts on Instagram. I even brought two coworkers with me, eager to support a local business.
We arrived at 7:30 AM—your listed opening time—but the doors were locked. Despite the signage stating that you open at 7:30 and serve breakfast, no one let us in. I waited, peeked through the door, and even saw someone inside who looked directly at me but didn’t come to open the door. I also called twice, but both calls went to voicemail. After standing outside for 10 minutes, we left to find breakfast elsewhere.
About 10 minutes later, I received a call asking why I had called. I explained the situation, and the person said they were in the back. Still, if your hours say 7:30, customers should be able to enter at that time.
When I was asked if I’d like to place an order, I declined—we had already taken our business elsewhere. As someone in my third trimester, this was not only frustrating but also disappointing. I expected better service and professionalism.
I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and ensure future guests are welcomed during your...
Read moreI had lunch today at Craft's on Seventh Avenue, and it was delish! I ordered the Chicken Tenders (3) with one side and a biscuit. The tenders were big and juicy, fried to a golden brown. I chose the Greek slaw as my side--wonderful! If you are familiar with the Greek slaw served at Zoe's Kitchen, this is very similar, with lots of feta cheese. The biscuit was flaky and tender, and just the right size--I took one of my tenders and split the biscuit and made a sandwich! Yum! It's a fast casual restaurant, and the staff was great--order at the counter, and they'll bring the food right to your table. The manager and several staff members stopped by the table to make sure everything was great (and it was!). If you haven't tried it yet, run--don't...
Read moreWent here a couple of months ago and forgot to leave my review. Best fried chicken I have had in years. I recently traveled across the southern United States getting what was highly rated fried chicken and none of it even compared to Craft's. Craft's chicken wasn't greasy, perfectly juicy, tender, and the flavor was off the charts. Reminded me of my Grandma's cooking. I was with my family so we all tried something different and everyone loved their food. The sauces were unique and delicious, especially the white sauce. Sampled the turkey chili, which I was apprehensive of but was absolutely delicious. Fantastic customer service as well. Restaurant was very clean too. Parking was easy for the UAB...
