MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Birmingham

Id never been to Birmingham before, so I didnt know what this place was, but reviews were good and they werent crowded when we were ready to eat (at about 8pm on a saturday night). So we checked it out. The quality, freshness, and flavor reminded me of Five Guys Burgers and we were very pleased with that. The staff took care of us professionally even if they werent particularly friendly. They messed up my daughter's burger at first (put stuff on it it wasnt supposed to come with that she doesnt like), but when I brought it to their attention they made her a new one promptly and made it right. I got a burger that was described as an "iceburger." When I was ordering, it took me a bit to realize that was an iceburg lettuce option instead of a bun. As a gluten free/paleo/keto option, that worked great. I love that they specifically had burgers for "paleo" and "keto" among other things. The fries were good. They were sliced from whole potato with the peeling on the ends, and cooked the right amount. I appreciated that there were napkin dispensers on each table, as well as a big ketchup bottle. There was a chalkboard in the middle of the the restaurant that customers could draw on, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We would definitely come back here. It's a great casual place for familys with kids, adults who love good burgers, or just a chill hangout...

Had the absolute very BEST burger that I've ever eaten (that was bought at a fast food place) at Mooyah's. It was a couple days ago, so unfortunately I cannot remember the exact name of the one I ordered, but it was soooooooo goooooood! And the fries..... just the way we make 'em at home, and they tasted awesome as well! Got the "shareable" size order, and my wife and I both ate from them and couldn't finish them all. It's a ginormous portion. The service was awesome, and the prices were great. The only way to truly understand just what a great place it is to experience is to go and find out for yourself. We were there at a late lunch timeframe and the atmosphere was great - very family friendly. Wouldn't have any hesitation about taking my 86-year-old mother or my 10-year-old daughter. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic burger prepared quickly with a taste you won't forget or regret and some of the best fries you can buy at a restaurant. I plan to eat lunch there again soon and more often than not when we're in Birmingham. Kudos to the personnel at Mooyah's - I'm not very easy to impress with food (because I've been married to the best cook in the world for just shy of 33 years) but you've definitely made a repeat customer as well as an advocate for the rest of my...

The food was okay, not the best. first time being here, not the best service. requested certain things not to be on it and they didn’t do it. was going to give the burger to a homeless person, but they did remake my burger correct The second time around. As far as I’m aware, I used to work in food restaurants and they’re not supposed to take the food back after it’s been touched. A young lady that worked the cashier that spoke Spanish took the food back and wouldn’t let me give it to a homeless person and just threw it away which is very wrong and wasteful. And the food is way too expensive. and you have to pay extra to make a combo meal, which is ridiculous. I could go somewhere else and get a combo meal cheaper, no issue. and it’s crazy how they only do one burger, which is a normal burger with a combo meal and the rest you have to pay extra. Highly do not recommend going here again way too expensive and the service it’s not there. Plus one of the cooks spoke something in Spanish and got mad because he messed up the order and had to remake it. definitely not professional. management is not there probably the worst business I have ever seen. and I worked in management.
