The barbecue ribs are perfect the barbecue pork sandwich seems have a lot of fat in it. There is at least one female working on the inside as a cashier has a nasty disposition so I use the drive-thru. Then one day I was trying to figure out what was up with a nasty attitude my cab driver said she got a nasty attitude everybody notice female I guess you the head person under the manager the manager is nothing nice either he got that smile on his face but it is not for us. So I called corporate office they don't care anything about blacks and correcting the situation and when you ask for Center cut they almost always give you large in I want center cut I don't want meat that is burnt to a crisp on a small in either. Open what you ordered before you leave the drive thru or when you order on the inside. So I decided that I would go online and see what the benefits for if I was an employee and what I read was straight out of slavery all they are giving is flex time because some of my students at minimum wage with no don't know medical and they sit there and they smell that smoke for the entire duration of the last year no joke somebody need to report them as much money as full moon make you see those big rigs they don't even offer employees health benefits wow unbelievable and they stand there all day doing that shift 5 and 6 days a week smelling smoke it's awful. Again the ribs are fabulous and lousy help on the inside need an attitude...
Read moreAuthentic BBQ ya’ll. When you step out of your car and smell the smoke down the street you know it’s going to be a great meal. There are quite a few FullMoon’s around the area but I wanted to eat at the original location. I was traveling south on 65 and it took a bit longer to get to the location but it was well worth it. It’s a small place with about 30 seats, the walls are lined with autographed sports pictures of athletes that I assume have eaten there. We arrived around 3:30pm and half the place was filled but it only took a few minutes to be served. I had the rib plate with coleslaw and Mac n cheese. The coleslaw was unique for sure. It wasn’t a mayonnaise based slaw it seemed to have a mixture of relish and spices. Much different than what I’m used to but it was really good. The Mac and cheese tasted homemade. I wish I would have tried their potato salad because it looked good. The spare ribs had a good smoke ring but didn’t have much of a smoke taste. The chicken my wife had was very tender and flavorful. I guess it’s their tradition to mop the top of the meat with sauce but it works because the sauce had a good taste as well. They also have a spicy chow chow that is super flavorful. Bottom line, the next time I come thru Birmingham I will stop...
Read moreI went to Birmingham Alabama for a family reunion. There were multiple southern restaurants at each corner, but one caught our eye. My family members who lived in the area knew of some popular restaurants, so they suggested we go to Full Moon diner. Full Moon is a barbeque diner that serves soul food to perfection. The cashier was welcoming. Meals were reasonable prices for their size. We ate barbeque roast beef, mac n cheese, baked beans, greens, chicken, and large sized cornbread. Their sweet iced tea was southern sweet! The food was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked southern style to perfection. Other diners like the waffle house fit small parties. The plus is this place fits large parties such as my family of 50! Other amenities are around, the weather was pleasant and we continued viewing the history of the area after eating a freshly cooked fulfilling meal. I recommend anyone who enjoys zesty barbeque food to go there! And if you want to take it out you can, plus they deliver! When you're in the vicinity go to Full Moon Bar-B-Que, you shouldn't be...
