Sahani Kitchen — Restaurant in Birmingham

I wish i could give this establishment zero stars but i have to give at least one to leave this review. I am shook behind my experience directly with the owner of sahani. Yesterday I went in to order the Philly cheesesteak that is made with lamb meat and the cheese fries which is supposed to be a combo and was recommended by the owner. I was the first customer in the building I was even there actually before he technically was open. He was very inappropriately flirting with me even after i told him i was not single after he took my order. It was very uncomfortable and awkward .Then he got on the phone and I assumed he had someone cooking in the back. other customers started coming in and I started noticing that they were getting their food yet I had not. that was when I realized and overheard that he was working by himself, but I started to wonder why in the world I still have not received my food after the other customers for the lunch rush came in and left, I asked him nicely where was my food to which I was met with extremely rude response that was a total lie, he did not try to tell me they were out of certain things and to order something different he said I'm fine never even told him what I wanted because he said he told me that they were out of what I wanted regardless he saw me in there the whole time as I was pushing chairs in for him just being nice as I used to work in the food service industry. anyways I left after being there for about 2 hours with no food, upset and will never ever go back to this restaurant again. I had the pleasure of dining at Sahani Kitchen, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely incredible. I had lamb stew and chapati, every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs put so much care and passion into every bite.

The service was just as remarkable as the food. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making me feel right at home. They were quick to accommodate any request with a smile, and their recommendations were spot on.

Food is ok but not great. More than anything it was the service I arrived around 5:30 they were out of everything so I settled for samosas and a side of greens and my total was $31 1samosa is $3 so I ordered 6 They charged me $10 for a side of greens even though the menu says $5 and was told they have to change their menu prices and system because the geeens rung up as a custom item since they no longer sell at $5. The samosas were not really worth $3 per each maybe $1.50. In comparison to my normal African restaurant here Jambo grill they are over priced and the food is no where as good as jambo grill.
