God probably one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. i get there and they say there's an hour late unless i sit at the bar. I'm like cool, I'm really hungry, i want a burger a milkshake, and a drink, let's do mugshots. my hometown had one and i never tried it.
So i get to the bar and the bartender ignores me. scruffy guy, lanky, pretty high strung. Patt i think his name was? i can't be arsed to remember. eventually i get him to get me to give me a menu.
i look it over and i manage to get his attention again. i order a burger, a milkshake and a shot of vodka because I'm weird like that. my milkshake comes out pretty fast and i get a bacon cheese burger with barely any bacon, and a pittance of fries. the burger was burnt and by the time it was done, my milkshake was already long since consumed because it was redicilously hot in there. the whole time, there's just empty booths and seats everywhere. I think they're queue system was drunk, because I sure as hell wasn't. The bartender completely forgot about my shot. I asked him for it and I ask for a refill of the milkshake. he says a milkshake takes about 10 minutes to make and he's really busy and to ask again later. so about 20 minutes later, I ask again and he gots incredibly huffy and puffy with me. I pull off the Herculean task of getting his attention for the third time to ask for a water. he slings me a water and goes back to ignoring me. about this time my friend had came in at the bar with me, and I had to wave my hand out in multiple times to get his attention to get my friend's order, only got a drink ordered, can't remember if he even got his drink order. he also didn't take my friends food order. I was trying to guys attention for the second milkshake around 40 minutes to an hour so i wouldn't have to choke down the burger with bland water and pure vodka with no chaser. eventually I got tired of waiting, I'm sorry trying to ask for a check. About 15 minutes of hand waving and um'ing and excuse me's and 15 minutes of being ignored. and I know he knew i was trying to talk to him because every time he moved from one corner to the other of the bar, he would do it facing the wall rather than the people at the bar. so I got pretty fed up of it, and went to the person at the front desk and tell him and ask for a check. The guy at the front desk had a look of "not again" on his face. either way, getting up to leave got his attention and he ran over with the POS card reader and charged my an extra milkshake that never came and shot a vodka I didn't even touch.
The only good thing I can say was the bun The burger was on was really good. The milkshake was really good, Even if it was tiny. too bad I couldn't order more of it. but that was some solid bread and whoever made it should be proud.
if you have a hotel at the Sheraton and want a burger, You're better off DoorDashing it from burger king. if you want drinks there's certainly better bars. if you're taking your family to eat, find someplace better. I'm never going to a...
Read moreFor the love of God and your sanity do not eat here. The prices have gone up by almost 50% since last year and the food portions and quality have only gotten worse. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita with my entree and not only did it not come until the check came after I had eaten everything, it wasn’t frozen and it had a sugar rim. It tasted like off-brand artificial fruit flavoring you can find next to the Lipton tea packets in Walmart mixed with bottom shelf tequila. I took a couple of sips of it and then had to ask the server if she would take it off of my bill because it not only wasn’t what I ordered, it tasted horrendous. She said that it was not possible because drinks are “first come, first serve” which makes no sense at all. Then the manager came over and informed me that it was against ABC rules to comp an alcoholic beverage. This is a bold faced lie, I work as a server at a restaurant with a much higher reputation than Mugshots and we will comp guests’ drinks all the time. It is not anywhere in the ABC licensing course that prohibits this and this manager is being highly disrespectful by lying to me about policy. Then after I call the manager out on this, I am told that it is actually just a policy that only this Mugshots has and they can either give me this drink how it is or remake it to be frozen. I told them I had to leave and I cannot take a frozen margarita in my car back to my apartment. I am then told that this is an entertainment district and it is legal. I should’ve reworded and said that I do not want to have a frozen margarita in my car or at my apartment because I wanted it with my food. They just expect me to sip on a margarita while I do work at home like that’s the reason I had ordered it in the restaurant in the first place. I just tell them to give me the frozen margarita and then I threw it away when I was leaving. I was genuinely excited about coming here today and now I cannot come back because I have never had a worse dining experience in my entire life. I know what good service looks like. I know what bad service looks like. This was absolutely egregious and unacceptable. I was lied to and disrespected when I expected to have a good meal and a nice drink with it....
Read moreIf there were a zero star option, this is where I would use it. We made an attempt to have a late dinner here after an event at the BJCC. We were told we would have roughly a 10min wait for a party of 7. We were fine with that, no big deal at all. We were a little put off when we could clearly see an empty table with 8 chairs around it through the window. We were still being patient, but the line was drawn when 2 people entered, some 20 minutes after we had initially arrived, and were seated at the table with 8 chairs around it. We brought this to the nice (not really) gentleman’s attention who told us it would be about 10 minutes and this time his answer was “Who told you it would be 10 minutes?” ... followed by “We are about to close and we can’t seat anyone else” (the hours clearly stated 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday, and this was happening at 9:50pm). After a brief disagreement, we asked for a manager. The manager arrived and made no attempt whatsoever to resolve the situation, just said they wouldn’t seat us because they were about to close (apparently an hour and 10 minutes early). I get everyone is short staffed basically everywhere and things aren’t quite normal, but come on ... don’t act like you didn’t just tell us that we would be seated in 10 minutes and leave us waiting outside where you can clearly see us standing there and then pretend like you’re about to close and that you didn’t say what you said. If you’re the manager, I’d have been way more happy with “we’re short staffed and can’t handle a party of seven”, rather than pretending you’re about to close when we are literally looking at your hours online and pointing at them stenciled on your door. Ridiculous! Will not be back here EVER! I don’t care if the burgers are served with a $20 bill ... I refuse to beg someone to take my money. Southern Kitchen, across the street, accommodated us just fine. Good food and superb service. We left a generous tip. I’d recommend you try there (or McDonald’s or anywhere...
