Smoothie King — Restaurant in Birmingham

I have been to this Smoothie King what feels like a million times and I am disappointed in my experience from this morning. I have never had a bad experience until today and I will say this smoothie IS very good! However, when I was watching the guy pour my smoothie in my cup and it wasn’t near full, I made a joke about how hungry I was and asked if he could fill it to the top. He responded with how I was going to be hungry soon anyways because it was liquid…I was just wanting to get my $10 worth. He spilled a little down the side and I felt bad because he was clearly irritated I wanted a full cup, so I said I was sorry and didn’t mean anything rude/offensive by it. I then grabbed my lid so I could get out of his way and he took it out of my hands and said “I kind of want to do my job.” I was a little shocked when I left and once I got in my car I called to ask the name of the man who just made my smoothie. The girl (who seemed lovely in person) on the phone kept avoiding the question, and finally said “my manager? His name is Erand”…when I asked her to spell it she was laughing which was weird. I asked if they had name tags so I could come in and see how it was spelled (I wanted to be respectful with that at least during this review). She said they dont have them but I could come in and ask him how to spell it myself…I figured what was the point in that. I know I sound like a complete Karen, and I really do not make bad reviews (they are usually good ones since people don’t do that enough!) but his attitude and snarkyness was very shocking and uncalled for in the service industry…especially if you are the MANAGER! This review is for the Smoothie King on Richard Arrington Blvd Birmingham, Al . My coworkers and I ordered smoothies on 8/22/24 on the Smoothie King website. We ordered our items for delivery not only did we not get a tracking for our order, our order was marked as completed within minutes. After waiting, two of my coworkers had to leave work and go to the store to see what happened to the order. They were told that the order left the store at 11 am and it should have been delivered. My coworkers informed them that we had been waiting on the order and it did not arrive. We ask if they could remake the order, the staff said no, they had to get approval from the manager or store owner to remake them. The staff then proceeded to tell my coworkers that the drive seemed upset about delivering the order. So we ask for a refund. It has been three weeks and we haven't received any compensation. We have talk to the store manager Steve and district manager Kat. , who both said we would have to call Uber Eats for a refund even though we used the Smoothie King website to order and the store uses Uber Eats. I called Uber Eats customer service on 09/04/24 to ask about our refund, the company told me it was up to the store to process the return because we used their website. This store has kept $80.67 from my coworkers and my self. I use to love going to Smoothie King but this experience has put a sour taste in my mouth for...

Whoever is running the store needs a raise. I couldn’t have had a better experience at smoothie King. Probably the best I’ve had in a while. I decided to go ahead and try their toast smoothie combo I highly recommend everybody try it at least once. I’m always looking for different ways to mix up my breakfast routine and this smoothie with the chocolate spread fresh berries and jam. Oh my gosh, this was so delicious. For 10 bucks it’s really honestly a great deal. I wanna shout out to who I believe was the manager a gentleman working in the morning he was so friendly told me to have a great day at work which I really appreciate it because as I’m sure people out there know it can be a hard time for people out there working.
