Nikki - our server - DEFINITELY a GEM!
Allison - the manager - very rude! My husband didnât like his Filet Mignon. Nikki asked if he wanted something different. He tasted my Ribeye and said it was really good. So he said the Ribeye.
The Filet Mignon is a standard order for us. My husband loves Bacon and he loves a good filet. He did not care for Jackâs Filet Mignon at all.
Within a minute of Nikki going to the kitchen - Allison was at our table asking about our food. My husband was honest and I explained that he didnât like the bacon wrapped filet but loves good bacon and loves a good filet but the bacon changes the entire filetâs flavor profile. Allison said - âSince you didnât like it - I have to waste it?â And my husband said, âI am not going to eat it.â With that Allison picked up his plate and rushed back to the kitchen. He was supposed to be getting a Ribeye to replace what he didnât like - which we got another staff memberâs attention within a minute of Allison leaving our table and asked the other staff to tell the manager to cancel the Ribeye. My husband said, âI am not hungry any more.â
We didnât say we wouldnât pay for the Filet. We didnât say we wouldnât pay for the new Ribeye order.
I have been going to Jackâs since 1996. This is NOT the expectation that I had eating here.
My husband said the filet was the worst steak he had tried in his 41 years.
We are not saying the food is all bad, the managerâs attitude and unprofessional tone is the reason for our rating.
Both of us felt like children because we spoke up for having something we expected better from.
The bill was also comped. I would have been willing to pay because sheâs right, itâs not her fault my husband didnât like the filet. Allison is however in charge of her tone and her response should have been more professional.

The friend who ordered them was too polite to complain and itâs not necessarily a dish you can tell upfront wasnât liked (its not like a burger where if you see only a bite or 2 taken out the server would be able to tell something was wrong with it). I ordered wings (half Buffalo half bbq) and they came out unsauced with the flavors on the side. If that was the case I wouldâve just ordered chicken tenders. Fries were crispy but had zero salt or seasoning on them, just bland. Potstickers flavoring inside was yummy but inconsistent. The first order that came out had a good grilling/crisping on the outside so we expected the same when we ordered a second plate, but it was not the case. I hear great things from people who come here often but honestly not a single thing âwowedâ us into coming back.    Read moreI was in town for a few days and decided to give this place a try. After reading some of the recent negative reviews I almost passed it up and went somewhere else. I'm glad I didn't I went in during lunch and had some pita steak sandwich thing, it was crazy delicious I would highly recommend it to anyone. The wait staff was super friendly and amazing in general. I had such a good experience I decided to try it for dinner the following week. I had a platter that I think was called the Captains platter. It had lobster tail, bacon wrapped scallops and torsk (I think that's what its called). Needless to say everything was amazing, and I'm pretty damn picky. Again the wait staff was awesome, very friendly and attentive. I don't think I had to ask for 1 refill which is awesome. All in all this place gets 5 stars from me. Oh yea one more thing, try the orange sauce stuff, I think it's called Jack's sauce....I could be wrong about that but I dipped my fries in it and it was crazy good too. Anyways highly...
