If I could post zero I would. Ok, where do I begin? The dysfunctional organization of what I was told was a "fund raiser" for "a school" was absurd! After I just gotten out of surgery I wanted to treat my toddler to a nice ice cream cone and to play on the play place, since he doesn't understand what's going on. Seemed like a great idea so my husband and our two young children headed over to mcdonalds in anthem around 640ish pm. We arrive to almost run over some guy in a wolf costume, grade school children running around the parking lot and jumping into parking spaces. Having absolutely no regard for their own safety, I would expect nothing less as I observed no adults outside this establishment accompanying so many kids. We finally get to park and the wolf decides to come over and jump in some ladies car next to us with two small kids in the back! I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Are you serious? Please tell me I'm on PUNK'D or something because this cant be real. Sure enough after asking many people I was finally told what was going on. A fund raiser for canyon elementary school. Ok. Hold on. There is no advertising anywhere on this property to alert NON regular customers what is happening. Secondly, you have an adult in a wolf costume rolling around on the ground in parking spots "playing" with the kids and in turn having them stand and sit on their bikes, blocking the main entrance and the parking spots. To make matters worse, this "wolf" cornered a 13yr old girl by the pop machine in the lobby and was not letting her go. From her mouth, she told him to back the f#$@ up or I hit you!. This is absolutely the worst display of fundraising I have ever seen, and the most disturbing one too. To top it off, after this "wolf" rolled around outside, he stepped behind the counter and was in the kitchen area! I wish I was making this up, I really do. But they have lost our business for life, and as far as the school goes. I'll see them in...

I’ve have only visited McDonald’s in Anthem four times since moving into the community two years ago. Each of those four visit involved mediocre service, poor quality control or employees not caring enough to do their job correctly. Nevertheless, McDonald’s Anthem seems to be in a constant downward spiral in terms of service.
I can’t pinpoint the problem of this eatery, but it appears this McDonald’s franchisee does not care about his/her investment, or he/she believes: since Anthem is a remote community of Northern Phoenix they have a “captive audience” willing to overlook the results of poor management.
I don’t know if the “remoteness” of Anthem is the only problem. Perhaps a contributing factor may be the lack of a reliable local labor pool. Either way, this is not how to run a community business.
Normally, for me it is “three strikes and you are out!” But about a month ago, I had a "nostalgic craving" for a Big Mac. It was 11:45 a.m., and I got into the drive-thru line to order the Big Mac. However, the voice on the speaker said: “Sorry, but we are out of Big Mac buns – would you like something else?” Let’s face it – running out of anything with the word “Mac” in its title is a blatant sign of inexcusable poor management.
Actually, I blame myself for violating my own “three strike” rule. So, NEVER AGAIN will the franchisee of McDonald’s Anthem receive another penny of my money. From now on, when I get an urge for fast-food with consistent quality, excellent service and with employees who always treat their customers with respect – I will take the 11-minute drive down the hill to In-N-Out Burger...
Read moreWow, since when do food establishments hand out the same drink 2 cars in a row. Last time I checked if the wrong drink goes out it HAS to be remade. Then a mixture of sprite and orange soda is handed to us, asked them to remake the drink, comes out mix again. After leaving we find out the second hand tea I ordered was the wrong kind of tea. This place doesn't care if your order is wrong or messed up, there is no quality control, no one to make sure the employees are doing a quality job. Just keep raising the prices and ask for more tips. Yea let's tip the people who can't/ don't care if an order is right. Your whole store should be inspected by corporate for the aweful job that is consistently coming out of this place. Not to mention the absolute lack of enthusiasm the employees have, look no one forced you to work there. Go in put in a solid effort. Everyone who comes through and spends their hard earned money gets crap service, crap food, and can't even seem to get a drink order correct. Management and owners should be ASHAMED to let there customers be treated this way by your employees and you should be ASHAMED of the products they put out. Look at some other reviews and fix your establishment before someone does...
