I've been hearing all the media Hype about Blue Bell coming to town...I was curious to taste this highly praised confection... We came to Blackfoot the other evening for the movie...drove from Pocatello because the Movie Mill has amazing prices... after the show I begged for Ice cream and no-one else was interested...I went anyway...sure I was going to taste something otherworldly... well the flavor list was very Similar to any other brand with slight differences...seemed very many choices included cookie dough chunks... that's probably my least favorite component...so I tried to read the flavor signs on the serving freezers thru the dozen or so other folks trying to decide...unfortunately that took a bit of doing because I just couldn't see them so well(my vision)...finally the crowd cleared and I could see the descriptions...I narrowed it down to a few flavors...got a taste spoon of one...could taste the wooden spoon as strongly as the ice cream and finally chose cookies and cream...I don't remember what it was called ..but it didn't list cookie dough...my deciding factor...I got my cup and paid...the lady was kind and even hunted down a plastic spoon...sounded as if they were running low and the commodity to be had...The scoop was small...very small for $4...I took small bites with the small spoon and headed to meet my family waiting outside in the car...I gave them each a bite and my son said "I thought you got oreo...My bite had cookie dough"....my bites had all had oreo...so I told him he got the piece that fell from the other carton...nope...soon I hit the cookie dough motherload... YUCK!!! MY LEAST FAVORITE COMPONENT...IT WAS NOT LISTED....oh well...life goes on... I got to try the world acclaimed Blue bell ice cream...glad I didn't get 2 scoops... ADVICE TO PROPRIETORS 1-put larger versions of the flavor signage on a wall somewhere so those of us with poor vision can make up our mind by the time it's our turn... 2- great location...but you're selling high end ice cream across the street from a discount theater...the value for money contrast is significant... 3- I would recommend larger scoops...or lower your prices....
I enjoyed my visit but in the end it was very...
Read moreScoopsâ Blue Bell ice cream We ordered a âsingleâ scoop and it came in a 4 oz cup. Total = $4.24 Con- They do NOT accept cash but they can IF you are not wanting change back. So I could have paid cash with a $5 bill but I wouldnât have received back any change. Hard to talk to the people at your same table. Everything echos. Went today and they weee out of plastic sooons and the wooden spoons have a wood taste and hard to taste the ice cream. Had the Butter Crunch and that was delish. Due to pricing for the amount they serve for a single scoop, we wonât be back (if we do, it will be scarce). Pro- They have many ice cream choices and nice lobby. They offer outdoor...
Read moreWent down to Blackfoot to try scoops ice cream and had a wonderful experience. The ice cream was outstanding. We really loved the flavors we picked. The ice cream was packed with toppings and had a perfect flavor. They were both delicious but I think the oatmeal cream pie was the best. It was also a great value at only $4 for a single scoop which was a large portion that I could hardly finish. Waffle cones were $1 or so extra but totally worth it, the waffle cones were great. We thought about bringing a pint home to enjoy but they were a bit on the expensive side at $15. There was plenty of seating and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend and we...
