This place is conveniently located and has great business hours for lunch and breakfast. Great for working individuals. Do NOT eat the breakfast sandwich. This place comes across like a great little homemade bakery and for the most part it is, but it is definitely lacking.
The first time I tried them, I had the breakfast sandwich with egg. The egg was made of some kind of liquid mix or powder....definitely not the type of fried egg I was expecting. It was bland and gross.
I went back to try something different....the soup and salad combo is AWESOME! Salad with generous portions of meat, cheese and vegetables. Soup is amazing. They give a thick slice of homemade bread with the order and their pastries are delicious!
Just don't get a drink from them. Their fountain drink cups are small...I don't think they offer anything bigger. But the do have a small selection of canned soda that costs way too much. Also had the bottled orange juice and it tasted like a household cleaner.
They also forgot to give me a spoon for my soup, did give me a fork for the salad, and forgot to put the ranch dressing in for my salad (was a to-go order).
It's also really annoying to watch the staff argue and roll their eyes at each other. Not an inviting environment.
The people are friendly, but not consistent and don't seem to know exactly what's going on.
Their ordering concept is pretty ok. They have sheets to fill out (because most orders are customized) but half of the paper was missing the third time I went in and the first time it was quite complicated to understand.
You have to use your brain to order from these guys, remind them to not forget anything, double check your order before you leave, and don't get a drink.
I'm giving them one star for being friendly and one star for their decent food. It's definitely not the type of place you want to go sit down in and enjoy. They could definitely do more to the cute front waiting/seating area! I would give them more stars but it has been complicated to order from them and disappointment on more than one occasion and because of that, it made the experience...
Read moreFirst of all I see all these reviews about th bread falling apart but have yall been to a Mexican bakery. That’s the Mexican style, white people=). But now for my review, this was a one of a kind experience and we just stopped in for a late breakfast to get some Mexican pastries and conches and they were 10/10 and yes they do crumble but that’s the great style of them! (They were also only $1.50) After we had those we noticed they had sandwiches and carne asads plates (which are very random for a bakery) but holy crap were both of those freaking amazing!!! First of all the custom sandwiches for only $6 I got sourdough, turkey, bacon avocado, pepper, tomato, roast, beef, mayo, lettuce, pepper jack and that was the freshest sandwich ever. Now for the plate it came with Carne Asada, Mexican orange rice, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, guac, tortillas. *Since they are a bakery and deli and don’t have traditional guac and pico de gallo I thought it was really cool how that cut fresh fruits and vegetables like avacado, tomato, onion, cilantro, etc! (Shown in pic) It was so good and they are really busy because while he is making tag you can see the wife in the back freshly baking the breads. Surprisingly the beans with that crumbly Mexican cheese were better than most restaurants and the carne asada had so much flavor! Thank you guys!!! Also they have a 10/10 Mexican...
Read moreI have to eat gluten free, so it is so nice to have quality gluten free bread available in Blackfoot. It tastes like real bakery bread which is a big deal when it's compared to the grocery store brands that are available. They do other gluten free treats too, but my wife (who isn't gluten free) also loves the dessert breads, the honey, the normal wheat bread, and their lunch soup they make. Sandwiches are great and the salads are pretty big too. It's really a great place. We're lucky to...
