Blackfoot Library — Attraction in Blackfoot

I am very upset of the way this was handled.

I've had an overdue book. Yes my bad for an overdue book. But, I for the life of me could not find it. I went on vacation and forgot about this book. The library called me maybe once a week about this book. I talked to them and explained that I am trying my best to find it and if I could purchase the book. They said I could not buy the book but pay the balance and see if I could find it. Ok I told her give me another few weeks to see if I can find it if not I will pay the balance and continue to look. Keep in mind I am a FT parent I'm not always home to look and search for a book. Well I think about two weeks later (today) they call me and left me a very stern message saying that if I do not return the book or figure out a way to pay of the balance I would get sent to collections and end up paying a lot more than what the balance is. I was very upset I was at work when I got this call so I called back and said I was not ok being told I was going to be sent to collections over a book that I've tried looking for it and the person who answered the call said she would have someone call me back. Have not heard back I will for sure pay my balance or try and find the book and look harder but the way that was handled and the voice that was used was not professional at all. Your first time there feels really awkward. Even though there are librarians you don't know which of the spread apart computers to check out at, and even then they're a little blunt with you. Def not in it for customer service. BUT, they have these amazing resources. They create these storytime book bags, which include a treat and activities and books all aligned with a theme. Fantastic. Their summer reading program was amazing. 12/10 we go there...

I haven't delved into the library shelves just yet. But I stopped by with a question about faxing/printing services. They couldn't help me with that, but the librarian recommended 2 other stores, gave me clear directions to both, and also helped me figure out the best choice of stores for picking up some salad for dinner.
