Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Blaine

It appears that they have reoccurring issues and failing management. For a new restaurant, one would think much better ratings would be awarded. I should have checked the ratings before I stopped in today, April 12, 2023.

What a huge disappointment! First off, there is no parking. The parking lot has very few spots that are for dine-in customers, others are for online pickup only. Then, you try going through the drive-thru because there's no place to park. Upon going through the drive-thru lane, you find a sign on the window that says "for online pickup only." If there is a drive-thru for online pickup, why the hell so many parking spots are reserved for online pickup? I ended up using Popeye's parking lot. I'm sure they enjoy that because the restaurant next door can't do anything right.

Then you walk inside, the tables are filthy!! When you walk up to the counter and tell them what you want, they don't listen one bit. I clearly and loudly stated I would like a burrito bowl, Cornitas with brown rice. Then she asks me what I want! Several customers ahead of me, as well as myself, had asked her to speak up! That was like talking to a brick wall. She had such big massive holes in her ear, what we were telling her was obviously going in one and immediately out the other.

I wanted black beans, the receptacle of beans was empty of beans and only juice remaining. She put my bowl partially into the bean receptacle and scooped up juice into my bowl. I counted and I had less than 10 beans in my bowl and a sloppy mess at the bottom. I nicely asked her if I could actually get some beans and she ignored me. On to the Cornitas.... The portion was less than a half a scoop! I didn't dare order guacamole at $2.69 for a minute dollop. I love guacamole, I wouldn't mind paying for it if you actually got some. The gentleman before me ordered it and was astound at what he received as well as myself.

At the end, my bowl was half empty! It was completely flavorless! I remember when the carnitas had such amazing taste, not anymore. I tasted bean juice and watered down crema (sour cream). Crema is typically more runny than sour cream. However, it appeared to have water poured into it.

I am absolutely baffled! If anyone wants to make any profits off of this restaurant, obtain a strong customer base, get the current management out of there and have somebody that will actually work for their pay as well as train the employees!! I will not be returning whatsoever! In hindsight, I was disappointed before I paid. I should have left the bowl there and walked out!

I came to Chipotle today and ordered my usual chicken bowl. Something unusual happened to me at the register when it was time to pay, the lady who prepared my bowl tried to charge me for extra chicken when I never even asked for it. She literally tried to force the idea onto me saying “You didn't stop me when I poured extra chicken onto your bowl”. like who in their right mind would say stop? It wasn't established at the protein station so why am I paying for something I didn't ask for? Another employee comes by and basically tells me to pay and I tell her no. She then replied that I would need to get back in line and redo my order. I agreed to it and once I was on my way back to the line that's when they told me to leave for no reason. All of this could've been avoided if the staff there wasn't so delusional, mind you I have no issue paying for extra chicken if I asked for it but in this, I didn't so I didn't see the need for doing so. I for one think I handled the situation perfectly but the staff need to check their attitude at the door, I can tell the lady was pissed off about something and she wanted to assert her authority over someone and I wasn't for that nonsense. No offense to you youngins' but this location is poorly managed. The staff is a reflection of their management - unprofessional. These young kids will eventually learn how to properly deliver customer service but until then it won't be anytime soon. You're better off driving to McDonald's over on the next lot and get better service there. One more thing to add - small portions compared to other locations.

Update 2023: Still the same from when it opened. I was the only one in line waiting to put in an order this evening. A few workers walked along the front counter without acknowledging me at all. In almost all places you go, even if they're busy, they would say "we'll be with you as soon as we can". Don't expect that here though. So I'm literally just standing there waiting for service. Moments after, the crew finally comes in and gets me serviced. Not even kidding with you but I should've asked the worker for that reefer instead because he and a couple of guys straight up reeked of weed. Lost hope in you gen z. What a poorly managed staff as well as management. By the way, your corn today sucked - be sure to thaw it out and cook it over the stove next time. No one likes eating ice...
