Went for lunch. The food was okay. The presentation of the southwestern egg rolls was interesting. At first, I was impressed with the look until I started eating it, and the lack of practicality became obvious. I ended up dumping it on a plate so it was easier to eat, but all in all was a cute idea. Upon further investigation of the menu, it looks like they serve several items in a margaritas glass, which made it less unique. The egg rolls them self had the traditional southwest flavors, but we're overall underwhelming. Personally, I think the outside wrap was slightly overcooked and maybe sat for a little too long before being served, or the oil just wasn't at the optimal temperature when they were dropped. I'm glad I asked for a side of guacamole with the eggrolls. The sauce served with them seemed better suited to serve with the waffle fries. The fries were okay, suprisingly dry, but dipping them in the chipotle ranch served with the eggrolls helped. I didn't order an entre after trying their appetizers. I will attempt to go back another day so I can taste a meal and hope I just caught them on a bad day. The game room was mediocre. You pay by a point system on a preloaded card you need to purchase, way overpriced. All the broken darts were scattered amongst the floor, and we eventually found 3 darts with bent tips we attempted to play with. The bathrooms were clean, but one of the toilets in the ladies' room was cracked at the bottom of the bowl, and the sinks were outside of the restroom, prompting you to never touch the door handle. It was okay. Would I recommend it, not really. With all the dining choices in Blaine, I wouldn't consider this a destination spot to eat. The drink in the picture was a blue bobber margarita. It was served with an actual bobber. Anyone in the dining world knows not to garnish with inedible items. In the future, I would suggest some red fish or something else edible, like a peach ring, and pass it off as a life preserver. the bobber was weird and made me question if it was something I was supposed to take home like a prize. The bartender was friendly and attentive, making it a little better of...
Read more1 star because Im incredibly disappointed to hear about Bryce being let go due to an incident noted on here outside the bar after not seeing him. I have known Bryce my entire life growing up at St.Charles Borromeo, a catholic school in Ne Mpls, and when I saw Bryce working there a few years ago it made bills feel the safest place to be and brought me in as a regular. I witnessed bryce on NUMEROUS occasions protect multiple people in the bar from harassment and violent outbursts. His intentions were genuine and if there was “hostility” from him, it was ALWAYS for good reason granted how intoxicated, arrogant and disgusting patrons can be from smashing bottles at the bar to threatening others, bryce always put himself in harms way to protect people looking to just have a good time out and eat amazing food mind you. (This review is not a reflection of the food and establishment because its a great place but rather management) There is always two sides to every story, and peoples friends like to write bad reviews to paint a picture, especially in today’s society where people like Bryce as “the angry black man”. Im not sure I will return to bills anymore as Bryce was my reason for again, feeling safe to go out. I was so impressed by him and happy he was the bouncer. I think management should reevaluate their decision making on this one heavily. Those who know Bryce, KNOW BRYCE! Yall should've too for all hes done to protect bills and its patrons. Its his job to do exactly what was stated in the bad review, thats like firing a police officer for doing his job, and again, Im positive there is more to that story and likely those that wrote it are some of the 20 year olds that cause the problems there. It is clear they already had assumptions and feelings about his character and probably never even took the time to...
Read moreAmazing. Amazing. Amazing. I have not had a bad experience here. Been going on a weekly basis since 2024 came around. I tell all my friends, I bring all my friends. Sometimes we play bingo, most times we don't. We come for the donuts!!!! Candied bacon and caramel sauce on the side for us. 2 orders to go, minimum, EACH, after our dine in meal. It's my new favorite spot. My friend didn't like her order once out of 6 visits and they replaced it immediately with no fuss, no extra charge. I don't eat pork on a regular, but their ribs are fall off the bone, finger licking good. I found the boneless wings to be overly breaded but still heavy with meat. The bone in wings were delicious. Their sauces and dry rubs are so good that I ask to take extra home. They've never been rude about my request, either. THE BUTTER!!!! They should sell it in tubs. We would buy it! The chicken salad is the best I've had in MN. The chicken strips are a favorite of mine. As well as the cowboy beans. I get an order of that for home, too. Their coleslaw is actually good, and I don't like coleslaw. I just add honey mustard to mine and it disappears. The fries are tasty, both versions. I prefer the regular ones with extra seasoning. They'll even add a dry rub seasoning to your fries if you request it. Go crazy!!! The Cajun Ranch is amazing on them. I tried one drink. The A$$ in the Sand. It's blue. It's...aiiight. I'd try something different next time, tho. Anyways, for the price you pay, which is very reasonable; you'll still most likely be taking a near full carryout plate home. I know I didn't say everything I wanted to, but to sum it all up: this is my new, and my friends' new favorite place! I tell everyone I know to GO. EAT. AT...
