Title: Appalling, Disrespectful, and an Embarrassment to the Wendy’s Brand
From the moment I entered the Wendy’s on Bloomfield Avenue in Bloomfield, NJ, I was met with an unidentifiable, foul odor that instantly made me question the cleanliness and sanitation of this location. The smell was so offensive that it set the tone for the entire experience.
As I approached the counter, I found two employees engaged in a personal conversation, completely ignoring me and three other customers who were clearly waiting to place orders. We stood there for several minutes without so much as a greeting, acknowledgment, or apology for the delay.
Frustrated at being blatantly ignored, I politely interrupted to ask for the manager. One employee, instead of addressing my request professionally, smirked, laughed in my face, and told me she was “tired.” She then laughed again, as if my request for service was amusing. She eventually claimed she would get the manager, but instead disappeared to the back, leaving us waiting another ten minutes.
When she finally returned, there was still no manager in sight—only the same employee, wearing the same smirk, and continuing to laugh in my face as though my time and business were meaningless.
This behavior was not only shockingly unprofessional, but downright disrespectful. The combination of the filthy odor, the total absence of customer service, and the smug, mocking demeanor of the staff paints a clear picture: this location has no respect for customers and no standards for service or cleanliness.
I will not be returning, and I strongly urge Wendy’s corporate to investigate this store, retrain or replace the staff, and address the cleanliness issues immediately. If this level of neglect and disrespect continues, I will be forwarding this complaint to the local health department and relevant consumer protection agencies to ensure this location is held...
Read morePlaced an online order 30 minutes prior to picking up, only to find when arriving that the “Store is closed due to lack of employees”. The line was wrapped onto the main road and i decided to drive up to the window since my order should’ve been ready just for pick up. The window clerk was rude and mandated that i made the line even though i placed my order for carryout which made no sense. I tried to explain That if i knew the place was going to be closed for carryout i would’ve never ordered and stated i’d rather get a refund than deal with there attitude, Her response was just “So do you want to the refund or the food” i was so furious inside but had to obviously take my food otherwise all the troubles i went through was for nothing. All im saying is that this happens at this location multiple times a week and i don't know if management is aware or upper management is aware but thats how businesses lose consumers or customers as you prefer. And i counted at least 5 employees 2 on each window and the cook in the back, does not seem short staffed to me. Not to mention i ordered two meals and did not receive any straws or ketchup when asked. If i could rate this with no stars...
Read moreI didn't get the opportunity to purchase the meal I wanted because, upon approaching the window my order was massively expensive. I explained at the window to the 1st cashier that, We didn't see the Specials for the 4 for ALL. She said you passed it. Myself, and my teenager, and 10 year old. It may have been there, but it wasn't in a clear view, and the prices weren't posted. For the items I ordered, if she asked if I wanted something from that menu, I would have quickly changed it. We ordered no drinks btw. The items weren't worth the price without the deals, so I cancelled and I apologized. She turned and walked away as the window slammed shut. Utterly rude. I have the right to change my mind if the cost was excessively high. An inconvenience of bagging the items ok, I'll accept responsibility. I know Customer service can be very challenging especially, when you're overwhelmed and short staffed. That doesn't entitle you, to be rude and unprofessional. If you can't handle the demands of being in customer service, you might wanna reconsider the type of...
