Rating Popeye's is always tricky. Do you rate it with the customer service in mind, our do you just go by the food? Lol we know the customer service was no better than "...ok". On this particular trip, it looked like there was only 2 staff members in the store. If there was another, they must be a hide-&-seek Champ! There was 1 young lady working the food, and 1 working the register, but she was also helping with the food. When I walked in the store, there were no less than 7 customers in the store, and at least 2 in line ahead of me, which took me a while to figure out because of where people were standing, it was difficult to tell who was waiting for their food, and who needed to order. I asked the customer if they've been waiting long? They all snickered like "Duh... it's Popeye's." However, one lady assured me it's a bit of a wait, but they're moving pretty fast. And she was right. Within 10secs of her saying that she out the door with her food, following 3 other customers ahead of her. I was impressed. When it was my turn to order, the young lady at the register was no more than... Tolerant of being there (and she kept that same face throughout my entire stay there), but that's standard for a Popeye's employee; as if that look comes with the uniform. Lol. I ordered the new Flounder sandwich with fries and drink, with the beignets for dessert. The young advised me that the beignets take at least 8 mins to prepare. So I waited, mean while, I did the survey on the back of the receipt in order to get the free chicken, because... Of Course! Popeye's got the BEST Chicken!! I'll take it for free. Before I could even finish the survey, my food was ready. And let me tell you... It was DELICIOUS! I went back in and ordered one for my wife! It would be a sin to not have my wife enjoy this sandwich! And she did! She said it was better than their chicken sandwich to her...I wouldn't go that far... Popeye's Chicken Sandwich...
Read moreI rarely write reviews on places but last night I had an experience I HAD to comment about . I frequently order from this popeyes and the past 3 times I ordered chicken tenders I never received my sauce ....i know many ppl would agree that chicken tenders without the sauce doesnt quite "hit" the same way. So last night I placed my order thru uber eats and I called the restaurant and asked them to make sure they didn't forget the sauce with my meal and I gave them my name. The manager ( I really wish I would have gotten her name ) asured me they would put the sauce with my order and give me extra for forgetting the other times . Fast forward 40min later I received my food with NO SAUCE ...needless to say I was UPSET. So I called them back and spoke to the manager and told her this was the last time I would be ordering from them and I was disappointed..... now..... I'm 40 years old .... this is the FIRST time in my life something like this happened.... this woman took my address and INSISTED on personally delivering me my missing sauce pluss extra . . I told her she didn't have to....I did feel kind of bad her having to drive to me just for sauce....but it was the principle of the situation I was upset over She told me " no I HAVE to ". I couldn't tell she took pride in her work and not 20min later she was at my house with my sauce. I really want to THANK HER for going above and beyond to make a customer happy. Some people might think did what she was supposed to because it was their error. But like I said .....most people would not have personally driven to someone's house to deliver sauce for tenders . Read moreHere now after a Doctor appointment in the area, used Google to locate the Popeyes near me with a Drive thru window. This query brought me to this location which definitely doesn't have a drive thru nor walk up window.
After limping myself inside to find approximately 6 or 7 customers ahead of me in line, I waited about 10 to 15 minutes to place my order only to be informed that they were unable to prepare any chicken sandwiches, as they were understaffed.
This I can understand in today's work environment, my discord is with the store's management for not posting any signage to inform the customers of this rather then wait til they reached the order person who then had to endure the frustrations of of people who had come and waited for this sandwich which was highly advertised but wasn't available. Do better for your customers PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
