Positano's Slice and Ice — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

We went to the new Positano’s Slice & Ice for lunch with family and friends today (Sunday) and we all thought the food was great, and the service fast and friendly! I had a slice of deep dish sausage pizza, and shared half of a steak sandwich with a family member. Both were delicious and exactly the taste we always look for at an authentic Italian pizzeria! The pizza sauce tastes homemade and is excellent. Pizza slices have a perfect amount of cheese, the sausage is great, some of the best I’ve tasted, and the crust was real Italian-style. The steak sandwich was super tasty, with tender ribeye steak slices, mixed peppers, and a very good marinara sauce to top it all off! We enjoyed some lemon Italian ice that had a good lemony taste, was very refreshing, and a perfect ending to our delicious lunch! I want to start of by saying that this is my personal opinion based off my taste buds, I think it's amazing to start your own business and I pray this place thrives regardless of how I feel. I went in today and maybe because the lady at the front was training a new boy the service seemed rushed and kinda like she was more focused on training than being welcomeing. I think what comes on their sandwiches being listed below would be nice (they aren't) I ordered the Italian cheese steak, I thought it was a little dry. It definitely could have used a more generous portion of cheese given the name. I ordered a small ice (watermelon) and thought it was pretty bland. the bread of the sandwich was nice but as a whole kept falling apart. they dont have their whole menu yet and I would have liked to try more items maybe in the future I'll give it another shot. also a little pricey for a sandwich pop chips and small...

What GREAT food and service! Salvatore- making the pizzas (thin crust, double dough, or deep dish) does so with perfection! absolutely perfect crust and the right amount of sauce and cheese.. Numerous toppings to chose from! Today I had their Meatball Panuozzo sandwich- Wonderful! You have to try it!! Jimmy the owner goes above and beyond making sure all his customers are happy and satisfied whether you eat in, or take home.
