Denny's — Restaurant in Bloomington

Went for dinner at 8PM alone and sat at the counter. The server (Jonathon) mistook my order and sent the cook that mistaken order. When my food arrived I said "This isnt what I ordered." He proceeded to blame the cook for his order. The mistake that really stood out the most was my ordering american cheese on my hashbrowns and getting no cheese. the fix was putting my plate in the microwave in front of me to melt shredded cheddar cheese on top. Believe me this was one of many things wrong with my meal. My server thought i should be 'happy' because I received more food than a reasonable person should eat. At this point I had drank a half of cup of coffee and just asked for the bill saying I wasnt interested in eating this food. He told me I could pay up front. So I proceeded to pay the bill for which I ate 0 bites of mind you, then left a $3 tip on a $17 tab because I have also been a server and know that they get taxed regardless. After I had paid I expressed my disgust with the food, and the fact that I was asked to pay for a meal that I found unappetizing to eat. The server informed me it was because I asked to pay; Manager Ray offered a free meal next time I come in but to be honest I have no interest in going back anytime soon and really doubt he would be there at the time i arrived nor would I go looking for him for a free meal. Before I start, I have to say that I generally like Denny's because they have a decent selection of food. This review only applies to this location (*AVOID this location). My lady and I came here for Labor Day. We just got back from driving 5+ hrs visiting my family in WI and didn't want to cook anything. We were greeted nicely and got a booth. While we were looking at the menu, we waited patiently for some drinks.Finally after 10 mins of waiting, our waitress comes up and says, "what can I get you"? There was no greeting and she didn't say her name. She looked like she didn't want to be there. We ordered an appetizer to go along with our meals. We got our drinks a bit later after we ordered. Here comes the good part. We waited for 30 mins for our food, which is insane considering there were less than 8 customers and we were the only ones waiting for our food. What's even worst is that we got our appetizer ALONG with our meals. The reason why people order an appetizer is to snack on something before eating their main meal. We also never got refills and never once did our waitress stop by to check on us. We were disappointed that this Denny's failed to deliver...

This is my very first negative review. Our server was super sweet and my first impression was excellent. I ordered a Let’s Cobb About It Prime Rib Cobb Salad. When served, cucumbers were added to my salad (not listed on the menu). Unfortunately I’m highly allergic to cucumbers so I had no choice but to have it remade. After 20 minutes I received another salad but instead of prime rib I received chicken. When I pointed this out to the server she was very apologetic. I then discovered there were no avocados or tomatoes so when I pointed this issue out I was told they ran out. When the bill arrived, they graciously charged me for the Egg-cellent grilled chicken Cobb salad and pointed out that they only charged me for the chicken ($1 less). If I had been told they were out of what I ordered, I would have selected a completely different menu item. After eating to the center of the salad, I discovered the lettuce was obviously expired due to its discoloration and being slimy. This experience definitely left me with a bad taste (and attitude).
