I ordered the steak tacos to go. They were ready on time. The guys at the bar/reception were very friendly. Unfortunately, once I tasted the tacos, I was disappointed. The meat was tender, the tortillas fresh and pliable, but the meat seemed like it wasn't seasoned at all. No salt, no pepper, no garlic. The salsa they gave me was pretty mild, but it helped some. The rice was good, but the beans looked like they were blended to a puree, and I didn't care for them. I will try them again, but I'll have my own seasonings ready. UPDATE - I ordered fish tacos for lunch. Again, the seasoning was a bit lacking, but a bit of salt helped that. Next time I'll also ask for a lime wedge. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the three tacos included in the meal were stuffed with fish. I was very happy with my choice, and I would definitely order the fish tacos again. Update - I have ordered the fish tacos several times now. I always ask for lime wedges, and they've even given me some Tajin with my to-go orders. I upgraded my review to 4 stars. Their service is excellent. ANOTHER UPDATE - I ordered steak fajitas, which were pretty good, but the big surprise were the beans! Didn't look pureed, like the first time I tried them. They were delicious. The next time I went there for pickup, I asked if they had a new cook - was told no, but maybe on the day I ordered a different cook was there. Regardless, I'm amending my earlier statement about the beans. The fajitas were well seasoned, which was nice.

Where to start... I'll start off by saying I sent my son to go get it. He said the man at the register was very friendly. He said the place also look very nice. But two things I have to say about this place. The food. Lol If this is "one of the best" Bloomington/normal has, I feel bad for the people down here. You might as well get chipotle. The second and most important is that they double charged. We got 2 meals. Both costed $8.50 and 2 horchatas. When the man at the register ask for the card again my son asked "why am I paying again" and the guy looked dumbfounded and said "for the food?". I hope the owner see this.

Heeradhura Mexican Restaurant offers a delightful mix of authentic flavors and a warm, festive atmosphere. The tacos, enchiladas, and house-made guacamole stand out for their fresh ingredients and bold seasoning. Their margaritas, especially the mango and jalapeño, are a must-try, and the service is friendly and attentive. With vibrant decor and lively music, it’s a great spot for both families and groups of friends. Prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a solid choice when you’re craving Mexican cuisine.

Hide yo kids! Hide yo wife! Because if you have a vagina- you will be harassed at Herradura!

Some creepy server was flirting with me and asking personal questions. I told my waiter about it and my waiter apologized for the creepy server's behavior. I wrote a negative review on the restaurant's Facebook page but the restaurant owner never replied with an apology so I'm making it public here on Google.

A customer replied to me on Facebook about how I shouldn't have reported the server because the server "could have lost his job," and BLAMED ME & FAULTED ME, even though I WAS THE VICTIM of harassment. Then the customer started flirting with me by saying that I look good and that he's 32 years old...

Great! So I reported a creepy server for harassing me and then a creepy customer told me that I shouldn't have reported The Creep, and then the creepy customer started flirting with me- just like the creepy server!

Several weeks later, a woman replied to my Facebook comment and explained how she AND her daughter were harassed at the restaurant, too, by a creepy server who told her young daughter that she was beautiful- just as it happened to me.

Eat somewhere else. Their food isn't...

Quality food at a very reasonable price! Chilli Relanoes are great! Service is average to above average!

3/18/20 The previous review was two years ago when I first started going to this restaurant. I gave it four stars at the time as I felt it was the best Mexican restaurant in Bloomington/Normal area. The Margaritas are by far the best in the area. Since then, I have adjusted my score to one star. If it wasn't for their wonderful Margaritas, I would have given Herradura no stars. I have eaten here many times over the two years. It has been very good until the last 6 months or so. I understand the resteraunt has replaced it's cook's and the food certainly reflects it. It is often dried out or taste terrible and after my last visit, came down with a mild case of food poisoning which hit me about 4 in the morning. My fiance and I shared a meal from there and she became ill about the same time. I can no longer recommend this resteraunt if you are looking for a Mexican restaurant in the...
