I went to this JJ’s location and ordered a #4 easy mayo with cheese (see receipt). At the time, I was the only customer in the store and I saw five employees behind the counter working. What I received, as you can see, is a piece of bread with three slices of turkey that don’t even fill up the bread, a few sad tomatoes, and no lettuce (which the #4 is supposed to have) or the cheese I paid extra for. I called the store and was told that they had likely accidentally given me the wrong sandwich. I asked if they could deliver a replacement, I only live two blocks away but it was starting to rain, and they said that would not be a problem. I was very understanding about the whole thing, after all accidents happen. I figured the replacement would arrive in 10-15 minutes given JJ’s whole “freaky fast delivery” mantra, my proximity, and the fact that they are doing service recovery. Evidently this store is not freaky fast at correcting their mistakes and service recovery is a concept foreign to them. Half an hour after my first call to the store I called back to see what the ETA is on the delivery and was told it was 10-15 minutes because “the store is understaffed” (how long does it take five people to make one sandwich when you have no customers?), “no one is trained well enough or knows the sandwiches well enough” (it’s not like you have an easy-to-consult reference source hanging in the store in large print), but that I would be the first stop on the next delivery run. In my mind service recovery might warrant being bumped to the top of the order list and possibly getting a special delivery run especially since it’s so close, but apparently not. Twenty-five minutes after that call (the one where I was told 10-15 minutes) I called back again for an ETA as I was now getting close to the time I had to leave for an engagement (the reason why I planned to have dinner an hour and fifteen minutes ago) and was told that the delivery was out and that the driver was just finishing up the delivery before mine (so I guess that whole thing about me being the first stop on the run was a lie too) and would be here soon. I had to leave at 7:00 PM and the delivery finally arrived at 6:58 (eating a sandwich in two minutes while finishing getting dressed, how fun that was for me), which was a total of an hour and twelve minutes after my first call to the store asking them to correct their mistake. This was my first time going to this location, and as the adage goes you only get one chance at a first impression. Based on this first impression, it seems highly unlikely there will be a second, which is too bad because I was initially glad that I live so close to a sandwich shop. Unfortunately it seems I don’t live anywhere close to a...
Read moreIf a zero star rating were an option, or even a negative number of stars, I would choose that. We stopped at this location prior to a concert nearby, thinking it would be a quick and tasty option. We eat JJ's pretty often and assumed it would be like all of our other (good) experiences. We waited over 25 min. in that drive thru for 2 sandwiches and 2 bags of chips. Not because the line was full - there were only 2 cars in front of us who had one bag orders each- but because of the crazy incompetence inside the store. We could see everything going on via the drive thru window we were parked at. At one point, one of the employees (can you really be called an "employee" if you are doing nothing?) served herself a Coke and proceeded to rest her elbows on the counter to, maybe, take a break from the nothing she'd already been doing. When our sandwiches were finally ready, a guy came to the window, opened it, and without a single word or even sound, handed me the bag and shut the window. We were shocked, it was the most bizarre thing. The people in the 2 cars behind us were fuming and looking around, I bet they had an equally amazing experience at...
Read moreVery rude ! I had forgotten a mask at home when I walked in I was greeted by “sir you need to put a mask on” I then said I had no mask and asked would you be able to provide me with one. And they said no you need to leave we can’t have you in here without one. I even put my shirt over my face to try to cover my mouth as a mask would and they told me thats not going to work. I just had a pickup and my order was sitting on the rack they then asked me to go though drive though to get it when I told them I just had a pickup and it was ready. which wouldn’t make a difference as to social distancing and I would still have no mask in the drive through. Very unprofessional didn’t try to work with me was very very rude. It doesn’t take much to just be nice you never know what someone is going through. Will never go here again. I understand do you have to follow Covid guidelines but by no means do you have to be that rude...
