2nd worst dining experience of my life. Ordered drinks and nachos at about 7:15 and then ordered meals about 10 minutes later, once our drinks finally arrived. I ordered ribs with a side salad, and, my girlfriend ordered the pecan chicken with a salad.
Took over a half hour to get our nachos - the cheese was getting hard and the nachos were super soggy. During much of that time, our salads were sitting on the bar, waiting to be delivered. Once we received our soggy nachos at roughly 7:45, we then received our salads about 5 minutes later, followed by our entrees less than 5 minutes after that.
After we received our meals, our server condescendingly asked if we "were finally good for a couple minutes". I don't think she meant to come off like that, but it was worded absolutely terribly.
On to the food - the nachos were lacking in toppings (we paid for the Guac, jalapenos, and sour cream which came on the side) it was basically just some tomato and onion. Salads were the same - I had one single cherry tomato on the plate that was otherwise just mixed greens that were all tangled together. It's like someone took a handful out of the bag and just slapped it on the plate.
Ribs came with sides of grilled mixed veggies and cut up friend potatoes. Same with my girlfriends chicken. The potatoes were dry to the point that I decided not to eat them. My girlfriend enjoyed the veggies, was "meh" on her pecan chicken. Ribs are decent.
I also ordered a second beer before all the food came which, again, took over 10 minutes to get. That beer was comped.
We were pretty frustrated and left probably 10 minutes after getting our food. Bill came to 62.02 and I left a $6 tip.
I've done my time in the service industry and pride myself on not being "that guy" when dining experiences are less than optimal. However, I regret not speaking to a manager tonight.
Drop in and have some beers if you're out and about. Rosie's really is a beautiful place. But if you're looking for a good restaurant,...
Read moreI heard a few good things about this place in the past and decided to check it out. My family from out of town came to visit and I thought, what’s a better time then now? We called ahead and placed our orders and the woman on the phone was extremely rude but we shrugged it off because everyone has a bad day every once in while, right? No. We were in for a rude awakening. My two cousins, my grandfather, and myself went there to eat 30 minutes later (when they rudely told us the food would be ready). Immediately upon arrival we felt unwelcome. My cousin (who has a very prominent lazy eye) tells the young lady working at the front that we’re the ones who ordered food. She looks behind her with a smile on her face and asks if he was speaking to her or not. I have never been so appalled in my life. I almost gasped out loud but contained myself out of hunger and also sometimes I can’t tell who he’s talking to either. She walks away with out another word and ten minutes later comes back acting almost as if she had never seen us before. I believe she was doing some sort of drugs in that short time frame. She asks us what we’re doing and yells at us that we can’t stand by the door. I tell her we’re waiting for our food and ask if we can sit at the bar while we wait because my grandfather who has a peg leg is getting very tired from standing this long. She says “Do you see five seats? If gimpy needs a place to sit he can sit on the ground outside.” At this point my appetite was gone. Ten minutes later the food was finally ready. We ate our meals in silence. As if this experience couldn’t get any worse, upon returning home, two hours later, myself, and my cross eyed cousin found ourselves with the worst case of food poisoning we’ve ever had. Diarrhea and vomiting like nobody’s business. Think of the Bridesmaids Indian food scene times 10.

Read moreAgain, can Google, with all it's brains and programmers, find a way for a half star rating? This place is another 4.5 star eatery. Recommended to us by the friendly ladies on staff at Lincoln on 66. About a block walk from there and well worth the short walk. Cozy, long bar greets you upon entering with some bar tables opposite. Nicely done subdued lighting adds to the coziness. Old style charm, woodwork and fixtures make it a treat to look around at. Upstairs presumably is a party room as some type of event was wrapping up as we came in. There also appeared to be a small dining area but not entirely sure as we sat and stayed at the bar.
Barmaids were very friendly and helpful with the tap beer selections and other bottle varieties (can't say enough about how nice and talkative they were to us). They also were very conversational with the various types of alcohol available. We were told the burgers were excellent and they lived up to their billing. I ordered a side of chipotle sauce for my plate for dipping the burger into which had a nice flavor with just enough oomph to make it worthwhile. All 3 of us enjoyed the burgers we ordered and all finished off our plate. Fries were thin, just how we like them, and very nicely cooked but were a bit on the over salted side. Maybe on purpose to promote more drinking but prefer a lot less salt than these had.
All said and done this is a really nice find, a great place to visit with friendly staff and great food- salty fries withstanding. Met one of the owners on our way out and commended her on a great establishment. Will definitely revisit on a return trip and soak up more of the...
