My wife and I stopped in late Friday night on our way through town. Google pointed us here as a "must try," "fashionable stop." Expectations were high going in, and I'd say they delivered quite well. Despite being the only table sitting at 9:30 PM on a Friday night, giving a strange and lonely vibe, we really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is well curated and the staff is welcoming and warm. We tried the bruschetta with goat cheese and beets, and I'd have to say this unassuming dish was the highlight of our visit. The flavors were so beautiful, complemented by the flowery aroma of the greens on top, and the crispiness of the fresh bread. Even the bit of cheese baked into the ridge of the bread played a critical role in each bite, adding a fabulous salty, savory crack. The goat cheese tasted brilliant and fresh, and I would've frankly been happy to make a whole meal of these little toasts! I'm tempted to end the review there, but I'll continue despite being distracted, daydreaming about the bruschetta. I had the pork shoulder which was quite enjoyable. Hardly left a crumb on the plate by the end. Proved to be more of a "oo, this is yummy" dish than one that leaves a lasting mark, but the fact that the entirety of the thing was sourced locally made me smile. My wife had the pork belly and scallops, and though I won't speak too much for her, I quite enjoyed the little that she let me steal from her. However I would mention that the grits were underwhelming and could be made more enticing and complementary. The warmth of the staff made up for the coldness of an empty dining room, and their attentiveness--whether due to boredom or exceptional work ethic--was well appreciated and provided us an excellent experience. We left saying to ourselves, "I suppose now we have a place to come back to!"

Epiphany Farms in Bloomington, IL, is truly a gem. From the moment you walk in, the energy is warm, welcoming, and just plain fun. The service here is consistently excellent and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re having a great time, and it shows. The food? Outstanding. Every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. Whether you're coming in for a casual bite or a special evening out, the quality is always top-notch. The added bonus of being able to order food from Anju Above brings even more variety and creativity to the menu and it’s a treat every time. Cocktail lovers, take note: the drinks are just as thoughtfully crafted as the food. The cocktail menu is creative and balanced, and there’s also a great selection of bourbon for those who appreciate a good pour. Billy, the mixologist, is a standout and he's not only skilled behind the bar but also a fantastic and friendly presence whether he's bartending or serving tables. A special shoutout to Vince, the manager, who runs the restaurant with the perfect mix of professionalism, kindness, and fun. He and his team clearly care about the guest experience and it makes all the difference. And don’t skip their take-home market items, especially the drunken cherries and lavash crackers as they are absolutely worth grabbing on your way out. Just another example of how Epiphany Farms brings creativity and quality to every corner of what they do. Epiphany Farms offers more than just a meal - it’s a full experience. If you’re in Bloomington, don’t miss it.

Couple of quick important tips: you can reserve for <6 at Epiphany, can't do that for Anju Above you can order food from both menus at both locations (downstairs vs upstairs) Anju Above items are smaller and cheaper, so depending on the occasions and level of hunger, you can pick items Our lovely New Year's Eve (2023): My daughter and I mostly go to Anju Above, so we planned to go with our two out-of-town friends and I knew I could not make reservations; we headed out ~5, they told us the wait is ~1 hr 45 mins. Nanam the owner was there upstairs, she suggested that we go downstairs, they took our phone number and said wait is ~ 1 hr. Nanam saw us in the doorway waiting, I told her the story and then she told me that we indeed could have make reservations for a party of 4 at Epiphany Farms. She went back inside and got us seated! We were so grateful, had an amazing dinner, ordered from Anju Above, enjoyed our new year's eve. Then I talked with a staff that I know from the years daughter and I have been visiting these place, I told the staff our story, and she told me who Nanam was, I didn't know that before. Nanam was smiley, friendly, professional, and showed a lot of care. No wonder these restaurants are so successful! Thank you, Nanam, you made our new year's eve very special and full of laughter!

Our wedding was on 9/10/22 and we picked epiphany right away knowing we love their food, their farm to table mission, and that they serve local beer. We have eaten there so many times, bought their food items for home, and overall been a huge fan of Epiphany like most Bloomington locals. Everything seemed fine after booking and paying our first 3k. However, about 6 months to the wedding Melanie left her position as event coordinator and they hired Connie. There was no information handed over to Connie so we had to resend her lots of communications and decisions we had already confirmed about our event like what menu items we want, that we need plates and dish ware, etc. Then, we met with her in person for a final meeting at Epiphany and we were assured of everything. Connie seemed great and took lots of notes on our timeline and that we will have 10 less people than original, so 110 guests total, family style, and local beer from white oak brewery which they serve at their restaurants. Then, about 2 weeks before the wedding, she sent us an email that they had everything priced wrong in Melanies original contract and that we owe much more than we thought. I told her that was okay, annoying, but okay with rising food costs. A few days later, she told us that everything was priced at Buffet prices and wondered if that was okay instead of family style like we had wanted. We hadn’t planned for this buffet set up at all and had specifically asked and confirmed family style multiple times. That was a main reason we went with epiphany because they offered this service. It was less than 2 weeks to the wedding and I told her to please just do what she needs to do so we can have what we agreed to originally. I don’t think they hired anyone else for the event after finding this out because at the day of the wedding, we only had about 3 people to work the whole event including the two bars. Needless to say it was a mess. We have heard from so many friends and family now after the wedding that they had cold food and not enough food brought to them. People had to wait 30 or more minutes to be served the entrees after their salad and sides came, so some people had left the table completely or filled up on table bread. The bread was the only compliment we have gotten about the food. Then the bar…. around 9pm they were telling guests that ordered liquor that “last call for liquor has pasted and they are only serving beer and wine now” when we never asked them to do this or talked about having this happen at all. It was a hosted bar all night by us. Around 9:30pm they called an official last call with the DJ and so many people went for their last drink, but were told the bar was closed completely and would not be served. Again, we had paid for a hosted bar all night long. We have no clue why they did this, and guests were upset that they said last call but didn’t allow any last drinks to be ordered. That isn’t really the meaning of last call…right? Lastly, they collected the silverware from all of the tables during the speeches. This was the saddest thing that I have I heard from the guests. People said they couldn’t hear what was being said even with the microphone due to this. The epiphany staff kept telling guests “we have another wedding here next weekend that is double the size!” and telling guests that our wedding was a “test run for them”. However, We were at a venue that Epiphany had already served at and it seemed super weird to be telling guests that. Overall, I am really disappointed and feeling so horrible for how Epiphany’s role was at our wedding, when they were our first vendor booked and the one we were most confident in. We spent so much money and feel we should have went in another direction honestly. I just don’t understand why all of this happened. Epiphany is a great place for dinner, but it was our wedding day and I don’t know how to forgive...

My fiancé and I went to Epiphany Farms last night to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We typically don't go to places this expensive, but we had a good reason to celebrate and had been once before and the food was good.

I made a reservation for 5:45pm. We arrived right on time and were seated right away. We waited more than 15 minutes for our server to come to our table (after we asked a bus person if someone would be coming soon). We ordered an appetizer of jumbo wings, I ordered the braised pork shoulder and he ordered the 14oz ribeye and an iced tea. We didn't receive our iced tea until 10 minutes later, and the wings shortly after, they were good. Our server never checked on us, "How's the food? Did everything come out okay?"

My finance ended up not feeling well and needed to leave. We were able to ask our server while he was standing nearby if our food could come out in boxes instead since we were not going to be staying to eat. He said it was no problem and apologized that it was taking so long. Our wine bottle of water was never refilled until a bus person asked if they would take our empty plate from the wings and I let her know we were out of water.

About 30 minutes after my fiancé left our food was brought to the table (I had already paid the check). We had 2 large entrees in boxes but the food was never put into a bag and we didn't receive any silverware or napkins. I almost dropped the food on the way out.

We were able to eat our food once we arrived home. The ribeye was cooked correctly and it was just okay; we've had better at outback steakhouse. The braised pork shoulder looked more like pulled pork slathered in BBQ sauce. The portion of the pork was very large, but also very greasy/oily. The green beans under the pork were so undercooked they were inedible. The cornbread that came with the pork was extremely dry and had no flavor.

We were very disappointed with our whole experience at EF. The service was awful and the food was also not good. I understand many places are short staffed at the moment but there were many servers and several food runners and bus people. The bus people and food runners helped us more than our actual server.

I spent about an hour in the restaurant and 90% of that time was spent waiting for things. Our bill with tip was $100, but it was definitely not a $100...

Absolutely incredible food. This is a very well run restaurant in general, but I especially appreciate that there's clearly so much thought put into crafting each dish and each special

First off, the ingredients are always incredibly fresh, and this can be attributed to the fact that they have their own farm to source much of their ingredients from. It translates into life-changing freshness of their vegetables that makes you realize just how depressing our vegetables from grocery stores are in comparison, as far as flavor and even nutritional density goes!

We had these items tonight for pick-up:

Beyond Cornbread True to its name, this cornbread is beyond what you'd expect, and is 100% worth the price for the amount of intense flavor you get from the various toppings, including bacon and brussels sprouts that were perfectly cooked. We definitely found a new favorite dish. Heads up: The cheese can be overly salty if you don't make sure to get a big bite along with it

Harmony Beef Bulgogi This was flawlessly prepared. The way it is presented in what feels like a to-go version of a bento box both makes it easier to eat and looks stunning; it's the kind of meal that looks so beautiful you almost want to check if it is actually real. The egg was perfectly sunny-side up and nicely seasoned over a bed of rice. This is another favorite item for us and has us excited for the Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group to open its new addition to the community: Harmony Korean Bar-B-Que

Pork Belly Ramen (Tonkotsu) This was also flawlessly prepared and it made my night. To be fair, the ramen dish is actually from Anju Above's kitchen upstairs, which is also an excellent place to eat and is owned by the same EFH Group. To put it briefly, tonight's ramen is 100% on point. I fawned over the marinated soft-boiled egg because it was perfectly cooked. The broth and carrots and mushrooms, etc were all so fresh.

With not being able to go out as much, having an excellent place like Epiphany Farms Restaurant to get a nice meal is one way we can still have a fun date night like we went somewhere. Thank you to everyone at EPH Group for all...
