My partner and I went here for lunch based on the great reviews, and I am totally surprised that it's getting such good feedback as we thought it was pretty bad. We came in during a slow time with almost no other customers, but the service was really slow. They could have been short staffed, that's not usually something I judge a restaurant on if the food is worth the wait, especially in the last few years. We both got chasu ramen, and shared an order of tteok-bokki. The ramen didn't taste like something made from scratch or by a restaurant, it seemed pre-made. The tteok-bokki was extremely bad. We've had this dish before from other restaurants, and the rice cakes have a very weird texture in comparison to other times we've had it. It leaves a thick film in your mouth after you swallow and was really unpleasant. The restaurant itself is a small cafe in a residential part of town, kind of a weird location. I feel so bad because I'm not a picky eater, I love trying new restaurants and different types of cuisine, this just was really...
Read moreCame in with my sister for dinner tonight—with the owners themselves taking the helm, we really had a wonderful time.
A hidden gem of a restaurant with authentic Korean food, focusing on an assortment ranging from Kim-baps (korean-style sushi), Cup-baps (rice bowls), Noodles and Bibimbap. (They also have a small Korean store section for ramens, chips and ice creams!)
It’s a very sweet close-knit Korean restaurant feels like a home away from home. Rather than chasing flashy trends, they stay true to the heart of Korean cuisine, serving up timeless classics with exceptional care and flavor. Every bite reminds you why some dishes never go out of style.
The cherry on top? No one cares more than the owners of this small gem. They smiled, welcomed, and thanked everyone who came in and out of their doors. They’ll warm your hearts and your tummy.

Read moreI really like Toto's Uncle Cafe. Well, actually I just Love their waffles! I've tried several of their food options and they were alright. The kimbap was average to me. To be fair, it's really hard to find the same quality of Korean food I am used to having in Seoul. All of their ramens I've seen being microwaved so I don't know how fresh or homemade it is. So I'm not super enthusiastic about the food. Overall, average.
The waffles however are so good! I see them making them fresh. They use real maple syrup. They are huge! Definitely a 2-3 person waffle. They are soft and slightly cinnamony, and their fruit and ice cream offerings go well. I thought it was a pretty solid waffle and I usually get it when I stop in!
It's a small place, very affordable and staff are friendly. There are unlimited side dishes that are self serve but it needs to be advertised more. If you were a Korean food newbie you...
